Honestly, it doesn't matter if the balloon was harmless. The fact that it traveled across the entire country is quite concerning.
From one TD to another,,,,AMEN!!
The balloon is a distraction. You know because liberal media is blasting it all over the place. Why is china buying U.S farmland? That to me is more concerning.
How do you know the balloon didn’t contain any chemical powder or virus? Once it got shot down, things could spread all over in the air and ground.
Unacceptable you mean
China Is collect Data! And stuff / Even Spying on US! May War with US race with US!
“China has a right to respond” well US has a right to respond when a foreign object entered US airspace, and the response was a missile
China knows we're weak. It took us how long to respond? China's coming for us. Get ready. It's going to be like the movie "RED DAWN" get your guns locked and loaded because a war will be in the U.S by the end of 2023.
They let it fly across the entire country before shooting it down, it might as well have been a big F you to china at that point shooting it down.

The responses was several days too late. Never should of gotten here in the first place
We’re awaiting their response lol please
The balloon actually made it across the entire country
Maybe we just wanted to see what they would do...

@@freshevans if you don't think we flown something over China's airspace manned or unmanned you're crazy. Remember you have a psychopath running that country over there so there's not many people that will tell him something he doesn't want to hear. Like say if they detected a stealth plane or drone in their airspace when it was way too late they might not have made it home that day so things get forgotten about until the next time when they catch a little earlier this may have been a response to an incursion like that.

I guess USA did a favor.. china’s “weather ballon” was lost in space and zero way to return back to china ?
The Chinese pink commies have issues with sovergnty of other countries...case in point, the South China Sea.
It seems to be extremely dangerous to live in the US, since no air space security is provided. This huge thing crossed almost the whole country without getting noticed. That’s scary.
It got noticed early on. The White House took forever to respond. Thats the big issue.
It’s harmless . This was brilliant by the White House . Now expect crippling sanctions
NORAD had it spotted before it entred U.S. air space in Alaska
No we just knew China wasn’t gonna drop something from it, we knew what it was, it was not an “immediate” threat.
This entire statement is false in every way. Dangerous to live in the US? Would you prefer Libya or Afghanistan? Maybe you'd feel safer in Mexico or Brazil? 🤣
The thing has been under surveillance since it was over the Pacific Ocean! Two threats there...
#1 what information it is gathering and reasons for it.
#2 if we shoot it down what collateral damage may be inflicted on our own people/property.
I love how China can send a spy balloon across the entire United States, but finally shooting it down after it looked at numerous military bases was "too far."
Exactly :D after it had transmitted the information to China :D it took days for the US government to take action
@omi god by letting it collect Data and shoot it down after the damage is done????
@@omi_god uhh take action right away. What damage on the ground would have taken place if shot down over an open field? Not to mention finding the "payload" would have been easier on ground than in water where it would be damaged and the info already in the hands of china. @@omi_god What a joke. Fire the pentagon. Put em all in jail.
They aren’t taking the risk of letting that balloon and it’s equipment get into civilian hands let alone crash into civilians. Mind your place.
So... we were free to fly flying objects unannounced, especially until noticed, into Chinese airspace and over bases? Their grand standing is reaching a ridiculous degree.
We do that already and have been doing that for a long time. This balloon is just an extremely low tech version of what we do that them daily. No I’m not a Chinese sympathizer just stating this truth.
@@jakegreen5682 lmao please show me evidence of america violating Chinese airspace all the time😂😂😂
The difference is we’re not committing genocide against Muslims or live in a 1984 society. Edit: From the information I’ve found from both the BBC and Chinese based news articles we have only had planes over an area of the South China Sea that contains disputed islands, surveilling an island who’s sovereignty is under siege by a more powerful and greedy neighbor seems fair to me.

2 F22 shot missiles on an unharmed weather balloon. LoL China is definitely got the message now
@@carloferretti8956 What about the possible payload. Listening devices that could have been dropped ect. The bottom line is, it should have Never Made Land. And the reason they weren't "Worried" is because China Bold Face Lied saying it was a weather balloon that "Drifted" into our air space. That just so happened to hover over security sensitive nuclear silo sites. A balloon that's "Drifting" doesn't hover in the same spot for three days, then coincidentally drift over locations of random military bases. With all due respect, where respect is due. This was a Major Blunder of our national security.
China has a double standard!🤔
They tell domestic audiences they will launch a nuclear strike against Japan and NATO and they tell foreign audiences they are poor and want peace and special conditions.
Most treacherous, backstabbing and deceitful dictatorship in Modern History.
Most people do
But USA doesn’t
Lol, no, it us
They do have a double standard. That is why democrats like Biden and Swallwell and Pelosi love them so much.@
It could be a test run for a nuclear bomb weather balloon, basically a high emp attack so we need to pay close attention to what’s going on for real
Definitely a possibility. But now every country knows what's up and will be on the lookout for these balloons from now on. China has been exposed. The best thing to do in the future is to shoot them down over water before they reach airspace over land. That way if a nuclear bomb is onboard it can detonate over the ocean and avoid harm to humans. But then we can't eat fish anymore. It would wipe out that food source. Either way there will be negative consequences.
Woah
I BELIEVE THAT CHINA SEND THAT BALLOON MARKING WITH A GPS WHERE THEY ARE GOING TO DROP THEM FIRST NUCLEAR MISSILES STRIKES
#MYTHOUGHTS🤔
Exactly this is just to bring down out awareness ,for the real attack
Back in the 1940's, near Roswell, New Mexico, the government said that was a "Weather Balloon" as well. 😱👽👽
I heard something across those lines.
But I wonder if it was ever debated.
This was a "weather Balloon" or civilian airship as China calling it.
Maybe the Chinese spy agency decided to send out the balloon without telling the Chinese premier. Sometimes spy agencies run amok.
That balloon can be used to drop a nuclear warhead, judging by how high up it is.
Sinceremaverick7081- that’s what I was thinking. Especially when the pentagon was saying that the military was waiting for it to be in a safe place to take down.
Who knows what could happen if something was actually in the balloon itself.
Not to stir the pot.But if China can put all the tech to a office in a cell phone. Why do they need a payload the size of 3 buses? I'd be worried what have dropped, radioactive or viral (anothr Covid).
Or drop down deadly viruses....
exactly, I hope it doesnt have this slow of reaction time when someone is trying to attack us
An unharmed Weather balloon don't attack nor spying. Satellite do and possibly America bases as well as warships in South China Sea do
Nah! In a real threat we would not be this slow. In fact we'd be lightning quick.⚡BEST military in the world for a reason. 🏆And with NATO we would automatically have so much back up in reinforcement from multiple countries. But we don't even need them. We can handle it on our own. If someone tries to attack us they will certainly regret that unwise decision. Just sayin' 😉

Not too many darts that can reach 60,000 feet. Believe me when I say it would have been done.
I'm just confused why a balloon was the best technology they had to offer. that's like me going undercover by wearing a clown suit into the pentagon they really thought nobody would notice ?
It did it’s job.
Cheap, and clearly effective.
Because the balloon can travel far above any airplane/fighter jet so it can't be taken down easily, and It was so high in the stratosphere it went undetected
I’m my opinion I believe they were trying to disguise it as a moon but couldn’t fool the American ppl.
I thinks it was smart on the Chinese side. If they were spying, they got all the info they needed. (I think it had some type of hardware that showed where our nukes are and/or most of our soldiers at any given time. Kind of like a thermal set up). If they flew jets ir drones or anything else, they’d be very very risky and potentially cause a war. With the balloon they can just say “oh it was for weather, we can’t control where it goes”. We the United States just took a huge giant L by not shooting it down. Makes us look so weak and not defending our homeland.
The United States Reserves the Right to take action !
Yes they do have the right because it's in their air space and yet they waited for over a week to finally take action.
The Ballon went through Alaska to Canada then entering into Idaho and went across the United States before being shoot down.
I say if that was really a Chinese spy mission as stated then it was a successful mission.
It also show how vulnerable the United States is.
And we do. It was in American airspace.

Exactly. They thought this was Taiwan
And America doesn't send spy drones to other countries. Such B.S.
It wasn't a weather Ballon because weather Ballons carries a linear thread marked with bright orange and Red markings while this one carried Giant Solar panels which was the size of 3 Double Decker London Buses .
State media was actually pretty balanced here. I am shocked
Makes you wonder why. 🤔 doesn't it
Why not try to capture it and see what they were collecting? Have no clue if that's possible but worth a try
Capture a ballon that’s 3x the size of a bus… ya ok… why risk it?? Easier to shoot it down

Trump let three spy balloons pass over and did nothing.
This balloon has been confirmed twice in the Tohoku region of Japan in the past.
It was sighted over Sendai City in June 2020 and over Hachinohe City, Aomori Prefecture in September 2021. The U.S. Air Force, stationed nearby Misawa Air Base, also shares this data. The balloon observed in Japan has two propellers and a cross-shaped solar panel suspended from it, and seems to be steerable.

Probably not realizing that its mission was pretty much over and it's scanned and saw everything it needed to see and sent video transmission back to China to wear popping it did absolutely nothing to disrupt what China wanted to accomplish. But now they can say they have legal grounds to retaliate. Yeah they don't want to do that. I recommend, no matter how much you want that product, find the product that are not made in China.
