Right on time. Thank you so much. Can you do a video on what the interviewer looks for in the answers to behavioral questions (sample answers would be a bonus)
It was an amazingly informative video Dr. Awan considering it's importance in this crucial time. Thanks so much for taking out your time and talking about it. I want to ask you what are your suggestions on how we follow with program after interviews like what should we mention in content, what is the timeline to pursue that and how can we make our presence long lasting specially when you interviewed early in the season. Secondly is there any prons and cons of interviewing early vs late.
Thanks Mehreen for your question. There are no pros and cons for interviewing late or early from a PD perspective. From YOUR perspective, may be more beneficial to interview in the middle so you are not rusty at the beginning, especially at a program you really want to match in. Perhaps I can do another video on some of your other questions.
Thanks a lot Dr.Awan for this informative video. This really helps a lot. It would be great if you can guide regarding the best subject line for letter or interest so that it attracts them to open the email. Also would you recommend sending hand written letter of interests to the programs?
I think both written and electronic can be powerful for different reasons, but you are more likely to get a response if done electronically. Most PDs read all of these letters, so the subject can just be Letter of interest with your name in it.
Thanks a lot Dr. Omer for this amazing video! I had a question: If we haven't heard from a program for say a couple of weeks after sending a LoI, is it okay to send a follow up email or does that look desperate/unprofessional?
I would resist the temptation to send another letter. In this specific case, it may be more powerful to have a mentor reach out to them on your behalf.
Thanks for that, you are great 🙏❤
Check out all the tips YOU need to write an amazing letter of interest to programs YOU really want an interview from!
Thank you Dr Awan, this was really helpful.
Thanks so much, very much appreciated.
This was really informative and thanks for breaking down the why. Very helpful.
Thanks so much! I appreciate your kindness very much.

Thanks so much. What do you mean exactly by behavioral questions, I am not sure I understand.
Thank you so much!
Anything thanks for watching.

@@AwanRad Thanks Dr. Omer
did you match. and more specifically did you get the response. how many loi did you send and how many response did you got?
what is your opinion about LOIs for programs that we signaled ? Is that redundant ? As they already know they are in our top 5 for example
I was wondering the same thing
I would say it is still worth doing, as long as you do it well. No harm in continuing to show interest politely.
@@AwanRad Thank you Dr Awan!
