Special thanks to @Constrict1996 for giving me permission to use his mashup and to @Sensisgone for charting the mashup for this video! Making the Whitty sprites for 1:23 was a pain lmao. I don't really understand the lore and character of Julian, and how he fits in the established Whitty Lore, I would appreciate it if someone could explain it to me in the comments. Also, I am aware that this already exists • Video , but this is our own take/version on this idea, I guess.

So you asked what how Julien fits in the lore, it sorta looks like a version of Whitty that didn’t get turned into a bomb, or a version before the main Whitty week.

Ok! Some stuff to clear up. The guy with the pony tail is Julian T. Whitmore, whittys creator in the mod. Originally he was gonna be whittys replacement but like the entity demo mod with aldryx, he was added to the lore.
I like the difference between these two guys. Whitty’s movements encapsulates his nature, loud and attempted concealment and Julien slowly growing a more brash and bold set of poses which his arms are stretched even more. I like how they’re parallel but not exactly, and I’m over analyzing things.
Well, if you like over analyzing, Game Theory, Flim Theory, and Food Theory is for you!

Overground would work as well but it sounds generic
To be perfectly honest, the reason why Middleground is the perfect name is because the term itself defines as a settlement between two parties which is what's going on right now in the mashup
I like how both has a different in the voice, Julian has some kind of human voice while Whitty sounds straight up like an electric guitar
i have yet to meet a human that sounds remotely like a guitar though

Julian Whitmore(As how I was told he is called) Is way more chill and bold about things, just wanting a bit of a good time and using his apparently mastered powers to just light up the show with neon n stuff, it seems like a fun guy to be around

I like the subtle contrast between Whitty and Julian, Julian is more laid back and seems excited his movements while Whitty just looks like he wants to get this over with and get the hell outta there.

Here’s a easier way to tell the difference between voices; Julian has a guitar sounding HUMAN voice, Whitty is just straight up guitar, and is able to occasionally play a double note for one note.

I've heard that Julian sounds like a megaphone. I went to see how music sounds through a megaphone, and a video with an electric guitar came up. Julian sounds just like Whitty's electric guitar voice, just put through a literal megaphone. I think that's awesome. ^^ Ofc, in some parts of this song, he stops sounding like an electric guitar, but still.

Hearing them side to side, it's easier to spot the differences in their voices. I can definitely hear some actual vowels in Julian's voice, while Whitty is just... _G U I T A R_

@@snowball03-boop I can give you an explanation on possibly why is that. Mind you, it can be boring.
When you want to use an instrument on a composing program or app, you have to play a note with that instrument, record it, and then use that as a sample to make a soundfont, which means, you use that one note, and expand it so it fills every pitch possible within the soundfont file. THEN you use it to compose virtually.
The thing is (and this happened to me a lot since I used to compose a lot some years ago), sampled electric guitars ALWAYS sound bad. They go from 'meh' to 'wtf is this', so it's pretty common for people to get actual guitarists to play guitar even when they compose the rest with sampled instruments.
Now, I think you're wondering the right thing in this moment. 'If sampled guitars always sound bad when sampled, why does Whitty sound actually good?' Well, this is when I star speculating.
Have you seen that, when people give characters a voice, most times they record only vowels? So, they have to have four or five different samples to do exactly the same thing I explained early with instruments, but with each vowel instead of only one note. I believe they did that with Whitty, they recorded several notes to use as 'vowels', so he doesn't sound so samey. Compare Whitty's voice with, idk Ruv or Majin Sonic. Both are exactly that, a single note expanded to have different pitches, but Whitty doesn't feel like that. Maybe that's what you're hearing.
Or maybe I'm totally wrong and Whitty was recorded live, and then Bf's voice was put over that.

I still stand by the fact that Julian was the human DNA used to make Whitty.
I don’t know why, but Julian sounds more casual with Underground. Like it’s more loosened up than Overhead. And Whitty is more rigid and serious as Julian’s opposite.

Also, was Whitty's chart (or at least his left and right inputs) mirrored to match his flipped orientation?
EDIT: Slight bit of constructive criticism, but Graffiti Whitty's right pose has some of his fingers become transparent. His left pose also has one his leftmost finger get slightly cut off at the tip, as if that pose is overlapping another frame on his sprite sheet, and his idle pose has a line jut up from the tip of his leftmost foot sometimes, though that last one might be intentional, I can't tell. On his right pose, a little bit of yellow clips in on his left side, as if another frame was overlapping that one.
Also, on a less technical note, when the camera zooms in on Julian at 1:20, it sort of breaks the illusion that he's throwing off his hoodie because we can see him on-screen.
