I meant Post Production. 3) FIRST!!
I hope Kunos is beginning to see that there is a lot more demand for an Assetto Corsa 2 than an ACC 2. We have enough good racing sims at the moment, particularly for GT3/GTE. Between iRacing, Rf2, et al., there is plenty of variety, but we *DESPERATELY* need more driving sims without compromising on physics and force feedback.
I’m sorry to say, but Kunoz can’t match what we have for AC currently. Between Ilja and Peter, they’ve done more for the game than Kunoz ever did. The ONLY way AC2 could match AC is if it had the same modding support. But even then, what could they add? Cars? We already have those. Tracks? Those too. Maybe rolling starts and proper cautions, but I’m sure some incredible person will come up with both for AC.
I really think it's gonna be Kunos next project. even though I love ACC, I think that after the British GT track pack there won't be other dlc for the game. they are bounded by an official license like SRO, and I really doubt they will ever make any american / asian GT3 dlcs. I also think they know very well ACC, being so laser focused on just one series (now 2 with GT4) and on such little tracks, won't have a very long life span. so I agree with you Mike, I also think AC 2 isn't too far, at one point it will be their only way to keep on staying in the business, ACC despite being wonderful will never achieve the same crazy longevity of AC, also no mod support is a big issue, since that is the reason why AC is still - at least for me - THE BEST sim out there after almost 6 years, what the modding community managed to do with AC is something I never seen in any title, being a racing sim or not.
Aleß Imo, AC2 would flop unless Kunoz could not only match, but also exceed what has been developed for AC. And pretty much the only appeal of AC at this point is the modding scene. Can we really expect the same capabilities out of whatever engine they choose for AC2?
@@MrJr1976, maybe, but I actually see a lot of room for improvement. There are some things that the modding community have not or cannot change. IMO, a tyre model similar to Rfactor 2 (with deforming, flexible sidewalls) would greatly enhance the immersion and realism, especially with classic cars (where AC currently shows the greatest deficit to Rf2). Improvements to AI, weather effects on track (rain deposits similar to PC2), and "rubbering in" similar to Rf2's Real Road would also be welcome. A better stock UI, and perhaps even a career mode would also give the game a broader audience (particularly on console). The vanilla sounds for AC vary widely in quality from superb (787B, P1, all Ferraris, etc.) to incredibly poor (I'm looking at you, Miura, GT40, and C7.R).
I love that AC is still getting so much love, especially in an official capacity. I mainly play ACC, but for something different, I love that AC is still so viable. AMS 2 as well.
MrJr i have a theory. it’s a long, convoluted answer, but in summary the manufacturers need to maintain brand image. So for example, Ferrari might be reluctant to make a mod of their LaFerrari, lest Porsche make their 918 way more powerful than the Ferrari. When the car creation is in the hands of the software developers, they’re motivated to keep the performance neutral between manufacturers in the interests of gameplay. Whereas a manufacturer might only be interested in making themselves look better
SimRacing604 The problem is that say Ferrari makes an AC mod and Porsche makes the 918 WAY better than it should be, enough people will call them out. Plus, it’s not like we can’t change nearly everything about a car in AC anyway
@@SimRacing604 and to interfere with the argument, Assetto Corsa itself had Ferrari and most of the italian car manufactures backing up the whole project, in which it should explains why it has mostly italian rosters even with the DLC
I have the same blur effect, (you are not alone!) i have fix it disabling the extra fx in custom shaders patch, or just moving the seat to alside the windshield in some cases. Thanks a lot for your videos!
If we’re gonna get really nit picky, Palatov actually released a mod version of their DP4 track car back in 2010 for the original rFactor. KTM and Brabham aren’t the first by a long shot.
Hey Mr SimRacing604 - I'm think of doing a very "generalized" video on PPFliters, so just wanted to check what you were using (if anything re PPFilter) in your Brabham Bathurst Video Segment please???
Hey Mike! I just went to the Dallara page. It looks like the championship started in March, with the finale taking place on May 16th. Were you able to download the car after that date?
It looks pretty cool, but the engine almost sounds like a direct copy paste from the Aussie V8 Supercars AC mod. Although both cars use a similar size V8, I've heard the real BT62 and although it also has a very deep rich tone, it seems to have more of a trumpet like engine note, displaying a range of sound across various frequencies instead of a more monotone low mid-range raw. This may have more to do with the exhaust system, I'm not sure. To give them credit though, they got the engine whine spot on and sounds extremely immersive, but it just seems to be lacking something in underlying tonality.
Cool Cars! I don't mind paying the 10 euros, but is there a way to get the car without registering to race online (and yes, the sound mod of the car is identical to the V8 Supercars!)

Once again Mike another very informative video. Great work keep it up!
This is SO exciting! We need more and more of these. Why don’t manufacturers make ALL their cars in games themselves?

I tried the BT62 in VR but all the cars have huge wonky wheels. Any one got a fix for this. Thanks
Just a Q regarding the dallara, there don't seem to be any download links on the official page?

Thanks Mike you like Santa bringing us all these fantastic updates.
How does the Brabham compare to a GT3 or GT4 car?
Haxor Computer Services should be faster than a gt4, Not sure about gt3
@@miklas.k thanks...was wondering what to race it against.

Hey there! Great video, thanks for sharing. I was wondering if there any LMP1 mods for assetto corsa? Can't seem to find one.

Sorry...I meant RaceDepartment

Does Kunos now something we don't, all the love for AC, from manufactures, has anything like this happened before, so quick together?,
Are there Mods to include cars from the KAMATA, HIMMEL, AGE, SOLDAT, ASSOLUTO, DANVER & GNADE manufacturers?

Now im gonna get them
will the dallara come out officially without having to sign up
No because it's for fundraising
