¡Hi Dominik! I would like to share that thanks to a video of yours from 2015, where you recommended an app to learn languages ( Hello Talk), I met my husband. He is a German from Erfurt and I am a Mexican from Acapulco. We lived in Germany for five years and now in Mexico for three years.
    Liebe Grüße aus Querétaro, Mexiko❤

Hey .. I used to watch this channel before moving to germany .. now after 7 years in Germany I finally decided to move out with my family .. as a research scientist in engineering me and my family have struggled a lot with discrimination.. we both speak decent german as well.. overall the experience was not too well honestly.. nothing against germans but culture and rules very unfriendly for non-germans.

I came to The Ausländerbehörde with everything I needed except a Motivationschreibe. I wrote that and submitted it 10 minutes after I was asked. The lady was surprised by my efficiency and level of German. (Because she said so) She told me to come back Morgan früh. I came back, got my Bestätigung and was happy. Almost 7 months later... I am not sure why the card that I signed isn't ready and now I have to request another extension. I love Germany and will endeavour to stay, but the bureaucracy.......😑

im going to be living with my girlfriend, who lived in Germany, and I am trying to get as much information about Germany as possible. I understand everywhere has their good and bad moments. So I am preparing myself to deal with the worst, so I can experience and love the best that Germany has to offer.

Hey Dominik, I've lived in Spain for 4 years, and I currently live in Morocco. I do see a lot of the social tenstions between Europeans and Muslim immigrants, even when I visited Germany recently. What do you feel about the Muslim Immigrants and the situation?

    Hi Dominik,
I have recently just immigrated to Germany on a family reunion visa with my wife. I was wondering if you have any advice or organisations I should get in touch with with reagrds to learning further education here etc?
I'm currently learning the language online with Deutsch Welle for a few hours a day and using Duolingo on the move and obviously have my wife to help as well, which is a massive bonus. Planning on doing this for 6months and taking some Exam for German language.
Great information in the video. Thanks

Hey, welcome to Germany! That’s awesome you’re already learning the language-Deutsch Welle and Duolingo are great tools, especially with your wife’s help, that’s a huge advantage! Six months of language prep sounds like a solid plan before taking the exam. Keep pushing through, and you’ll get there!
As for further education, definitely check out VHS (Volkshochschule), which is a community education center where they offer courses in everything from language to professional skills. Also, look into Integrationskurse (integration courses) that include both language lessons and help with understanding German culture, laws, and everyday life.
If you’re looking at something more academic or job-related, platforms like DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) can be helpful, especially for higher education or university courses. Depending on your field, IHK (Industrie- und Handelskammer) could also be useful-they offer a ton of resources for professional development.
Good luck with everything, and feel free to reach out if you’ve got more questions! Cheers 😊

@GetGermanized Thanks for your help! I appreciate the time to respond to my comment. Maybe in a few months, I'll be replying to videos in German when I'm confident enough. 😃😃.

Is there such a thing as homesteading in rural Germany?

    • @GetGermanized
      @GetGermanized  21 день тому

@hafsaummmusa9923 - Great question! Yes, homesteading does exist in rural Germany, although it's not as widespread or recognized in the same way it might be in countries like the United States. In Germany, small-scale farming, gardening, and sustainable living practices are becoming more popular, especially with the growing interest in eco-friendly and self-sufficient lifestyles. However, German homesteaders often face stricter regulations regarding land use, building permits, and animal husbandry, so it requires some planning and understanding of local laws. If you're considering homesteading here, I'd recommend connecting with local communities and learning more about the specific rules in the area you're interested in. 🌾🏡
      Hope this helps!

I "love" the word "expat", it seems like it was invented so we can seperate white imigration, by calling that people expat and black/asian/east european and calling them imigrants. Because how would an American feel in Germany if he were called by the same term as a Pole, because for an American a Pole is a step lower on the ladder of evolution.
