The bad thing about a second storm is that ground is already saturated. Y'all have the advantage of knowing what to do and having the equipment to do it. A lot of people do not know what to do.
We pray it doesn't come our way. We are very blessed to have some equipment to help get us prepared. You're right, unfortunately a lot of people don't know what to do. It's always good to have some sort of generator, gas, nonperishable food & water on hand - at least enough to last for a few days.
If you get too good driving that tractor, he's gonna have you driving it everywhere doing all the work.glad you didn't have really bad damage there. Really good video. Be safe.n
I tell him he gets the easy job riding around on the tractor around all the time while I'm doing all the hard work 😂🤣 I am glad he's teaching me how to operate it. It is something that's good for me to know around here. Thank you! We are so thankful we didn't get hit hard. It had us really worried! It really left a lot of damage along its path.
Hi Mike & Bill! So happy you guys and animals are safe and Ok. The farm is looking good! ❤ Wow…I love Pears. They are good canned up, but of course, delicious fresh eating….yum!
Thank you! We were very lucky! You wouldn't believe the damage just around us. We are so thankful we came out of this with no loss or major damage. The animals did really good! I was worried about all of them. I can't believe that many pears fell from the tree, and they are huge! I'm canning some and think I might make us a pear cobbler. Hope everything is good your way! 🤗❤️
Thank you! We can't believe the damage all around us. We are so thankful to come out of this with very minimal damage. Thank you for all your prayers 🙏 So many have been affected by this horrible storm.
So happy to have found your channel! My husband and I just bought ten acres of land this past August, and we are doing the exact same thing… creating a homestead and getting back to our roots while documenting it on UA-cam! I can’t wait to watch more of y’all’s content! ❤❤
Apologies for just responding. It has been so busy here trying to catch up from the storm and trying to find ways to help our neighbors that have been just devastated. We are so glad to have you join us on our journey! We look forward to catching up with you on your adventure as well. Good luck to y'all! Welcome to our FarmLife family! ❤️
Sometimes we get so busy and put things off. We need to try and stay on top of it as much as we can, so it doesn't catch up with us at the last minute. Hope you are doing well. Be safe! God bless 🙏
I have natural gas for my house and I would not be without it. I would have Frozen during power outages if not for it. But I am not prepared for is if the power goes out and the very heart of summer, I do not have a generator and I must have air conditioning if it's much over 90. I have a great d battery fan that has saved me many times. And I keep LED lanterns and a transistor radio, and those last weeks before needing batteries. The battery fan will go for about 3 days.
That's good! You are prepared more than most people. It's sad to see the lines at the gas stations and grocery stores. People are desperate to find gas cans and generators. These are all things we should try to keep on hand. You never know when you might need them - it doesn't always have to be a storm. I think we'd all have a hard time trying to deal with no air conditioning. It does get hot here too in the summer. That would be miserable! But we just have to stay as prepared as much as we can!
Bread freezes good. I do it all the time.
It sure does! I actually froze some this year for the first time, and it did really good.

Wow, so much erosion on that driveway!
Yes, it was! It took a little while to get that fixed.
