Thank you for sharing this gift you and your family have. The true value of making something is the Love infused into it . I’ve been in love with the music of the Harp all my life. My Dulcimer is the closest instrument I have to it. Both take the woods God made and create sounds that speak to the Soul of man. Now when I hear a harp’s music I will appreciate it all the more. 🕊
I really enjoyed watching how these harps are made. I love the handiwork and how the bog wood is used as well as how the new wood is put into the bog. Getting the entire family involved is also a wonderful idea!
Fascinating video. It's certainly quite a journey to start on violins and move to reproducing medieval harps. But I can understand the attraction of re-discovering the lost secrets of how they were made.
Excellent Craftsmanship and quality family time working together as a family unit in what can only be described as the most Beautiful Harp from a bygone Era revived thanks to the hearts of the Trees that produce the most melodious soothing sound i can't begin to imagine how much such a work of art would cost albeit definitely worth the costs kudos to the family thanks for sharing
Brilliant. It was on you tube years ago then vanished……for sale on EBay as a cd…..rip off price….You do the public a service uploading this,Thank you v m. Great upload
What a fantastic video! You have really laid out the entire harp making process in such detail that it is truly wonderful! So interesting about letting it sit in the bog! Thanks for this great and informative video! The music and scenery was nice too! I'm toying with the idea, but not much willow by me....would maple work? Anyway, I'm thumbing up and subscribing to support your channel and work!
I have a question. The neck on a harp I have here has shifted because I believe it only had one dowel put in to connect it. Is it ok to use steel dowels to fix it?
