    This could have been interesting if she would let him talk instead of interrupting him all the time.

    This is so cool! I've seen this kit in a local craft/art store but didn't know much about it. Great intro to the kit... I would definitely be more motivated to make glass objects knowing I could just do it at home without any fancy equipment. Thanks for sharing :) xAmy

    curious i know you guy's where using coe 90 and you cann't mix different coe together because they may crack due to different expansion rates. But what i am wondering is can you uses any coe you want just so long as you keep all the material the same coe or does it have to be specifically all coe 90. Like could i uses coe 104 or coe 33 as long as i kept them all coe 104 or coe 33? Basically how general of a glass can you uses in this microwave kiln?

    Does cooking various types of glass with various coatings poison your microwave oven...? Should you use a separate dedicated microwave oven for glass cooking...?

    hi, if u wanted to make a space through it for say a strap to go through it, how would you make the space before putting the kiln into microwave? ( I presume you put something into it to stop it melting into the gap? ) ?

    • @msdraggy0624
      @msdraggy0624 3 роки тому

      yes you would u would put something that could not melt and wouldnt stick to the glass

      Often with the big kilns they use kiln wash as a release.

    1/8" is thinner than 1/4". So it will not "shrink" to 1/4".

    • @cherylwhite654
      @cherylwhite654 5 років тому

      Glass Always wants to be 1/4" thick & round so a 1/8 piece will draw in to become 1/4 or as close as it can get so it will shrink in size but grow in thickness

    So she says she doesn't know anything about making glass in this way and then completely refutes that statement within a minute. Interesting huh...

    That terrifies me. I like creating, but safety first. They make this look so easy and carefree but what if you dropped that container on the way out of the microwave?! Can you imaging the degree burns a person would get from the hot molten glass?! Your clothes would not protect you..probably end up with clothing bits fused into your now molten skin. It could probably do some serious damage to other things as well.
    No offense to the hosts who are probably just hired hands, but oh my gosh... there are a lot of safety issues that regular glass blowers and glass workers must learn first before indulging in the craft. Now we have this contraption and a demo without speaking about the dangers? I’m certain the product’s directions probably have warnings, but there are lots of people who ignore them. This kind of has lawsuit written all over it.

    I am SO irritated by the power struggle here. The man is giving the instructions, she needs to stop talking over him and stop talking so much. What a rude individual. Just let the man explain and then after you can ask questions!
