I turned 75 six days ago. I have had it all and spent it all but as a teacher who was seriously embraced by his students, I see that as the most important things in a blessed life. The fact that of the 8000 odd students whose lives I've changed for the better there are so many who still talk about me in a positive light as I sit in that unit that you spoke about while memories of incredible adventures in Queensland's outback as well as sporting highlights make the fact that after 44 years of a six-figure income, I embrace my old age pension every fortnight for subsistence.

Take it with a grain of salt. I'm Aussie, been here since I was 2 years old, and I'm a complete fuck up. 😂

My dad who passed at 90, told my husband and me that working hard, buying a “modest” home, with a small mortgage was better financially than buying a mansion and paying it off over 30 years. He said that wages would increase over time, we would pay the mortgage down quicker, save on interest and the value of the equity would increase over time. He was right, we payed our home off, raised our kids and have travelled the World, including the US. Now that we are old the biggest value of a modest home is that it is just the right size for us to maintain and still offer a sleep over to our youngest grandchildren. Happiness is saying “I have enough”.

But Neal, in Australia when there’s a rainy day the system has your back. Your health is covered. These are the things that make it easier to live this way. Americans call it socialist, but here we call it majoritarian. The greater good.

I was in a local Safeways supermarket in the checkout line and the lady infront of me pulled every dollar out of her purse and charged all her cards to the max. But just fell short of the total by around twenty bucks. I could tell by her grocery and shopping that she needed everything she needed in her trolley. So I said it’s okay. They said but she/I don’t have enough. I said I can. It’s what you do when you can, as you don’t know when the shoe is on the other foot. Peace be thee to all. And get out here brother the wild life etc is not as bad as all is shown on tic toc or UA-cam videos. Yeah they’re here but I they ain’t lurking ready to pounce. Most if you want to find the bittiees and stinging shit ya have to look for it most of the time. Stay safe stay well bro

The chaotic traveller is one of my fave vloggers, he's fairdinkum. I believe he's in NZ right now, no doubt he'll have some choice vlogs from there *Neal, the word 'choice' in NZ is slang or synonymous for awesome... It takes guts and a kindred spirit to get up and leave your home land and travel like this, happy for you Johnny, keep on.

I HOPE YOU INCLUDE at least 2 DAYS OFF IN YOUR UA-cam WORK TIMETABLE! Of course UA-cam is a REAL JOB and YES SIR it's COOL! Hell it's one of the sc driest jobs I can think of so ANYONE ATTEMPTING UA-cam gets the kudos for the Ba ls needed to do so. Ive seen this vid awhile ago (must have just popped up within UA-cam Daily Vid crap?) and it IS a good video. Hell the bravery of picking up work as you travel whether its Oz o. whether its Europe HAS TO BE SO SO SCARY. Id Never do it cos I'm a wimp but can feel happy for those that do it. This guy is like a Guru yeah? Almost like the second coming but without the hype.

I've been sleeping rough in the bush for over a year now and many people know I'm here yet no one has offered me any assistance.
I'm camped behind the SES headquarters and they know I'm out there, alone and with the recent rain events on the east coast of Australia I'm really struggling but no one gives a shit unless they can film it and put it online for likes ect.
If anyone out there wants to help I'm camped behind the SES headquarters in Mt St Tomas near Wollongong and all I need is food, water and access to electricity.......I don't want money.

Have you considered getting a job? I heard a guy on the radio saying he can’t find people to pick oranges, a decent picker earns $400 per day. I also heard of a restaurant desperate for a fulltime dishwasher 75k just north of Sydney.

Everyone's life experiences are unique to them. What determines our success in life depends on the choices we make, our values and the people we choose to interact with. Where we live and our economic circumstances are factors which impact us but we learn to deal with them.
