I like how you fearlessly confront the scammers. I like the other scambaiters but the issue I have with them is you can hear the nervousness in their voices when they confront the scammers. Also many times they just let the scammers speak their lies, but you, you don't let them. Sometimes the scambaiter is even nice to the scammer. No matter how you cut it, a scammer is a criminal regardless of their backstory. It's nice to hear someone who isn't going to put up with their crap.

Anyways, names like Paul smith/John Smith etc, are very generic and suspicious
The thing is, some legit call centers outsourced to India will give their agents westernized names to use as well to try and make customers more comfortable, it’s not just scam call centers

white hats are seen as the good guys and seeing as to how they do benevolent stuff to help make the internet safer and counter the black hats, they very rarely get negative attention from authorities
the thing with the internet is that hacking of any kind is simply illegal in most 1st world countries, that said white hats are usually found fighting with black hats and authorities are generally more inclined to cooperate with them and harvest their talent and benevolence rather than punish them, this is usually where they are offered a position in an agency or a company to help with cyber security
a white hat hacker is defacto a "good guy" while black hats are defacto "bad guys", occasionally a grey hat (very rarely a black hat) might be offered a job in cyber security too effectively turning them into a white hat
with all this out of the way, white hats as people think of them (sort of a "street hacker"), are usually freelancers and not paid by anyone but a cyber security company's programmers are all considered white hats as well
i know all of this because i once knew a black hat (a very bad one lol) that also happened to be somewhat fraudulent in his activities as well and he got caught, he also gave me some insight about the hacker world
