I love this lesson and been working on it for a few days now. Even though I've been playing for a while, it's actually not that easy to spontaneously add in multiple of the variations without falling out of the groove. I tried to immediatelly immitate your opening performance but that wasn't a good approach. Now I am concentrating on adding in one additional element at a time and making sure I can still play the progression effortlessly without making too many mistakes (like hitting the wrong bass note). What also seems to help is vocalising the drum groove while playing using made up syllables. Today I also decided to transfer it to another key, just to switch things up and keep motivated staying with one progression for longer.
You're welcome Nathan! 🙏🏼 And there's more of these tutorials on my school website which you should definitely check out: www.nathanielschool.com/members-videos
