  • Make beautiful double spiral rings with Polymer clay and wire. This tutorial shows you a very easy way to do it, if (like me) you have almost no wire wrapping skills! You only need: 30 cm of steel (or inox or even soft aluminum) wire 1.2 gauge, polymer clay (the color you prefer - I used metallic green) and gloss varnish (outer side only).
These rings are very strong, they ll last for a long time, as I always consider the durability of a piece most important.
Also I feel I must apologize for the external noises, but it was too hot to close the windows.
    Enjoy!

If you didn't read the description, a) I feel that durability of a piece is important, so these are made to last and b) apologies for the external sounds, the heat here is infernal and I couldn't close the windows. Tip: you can also try these with soft aluminum wire (it ll be easier to make the frame). Enjoy!

Use golden wire to make the ring with black clay would be awesome. 🙂

Those are so pretty. A great little project to do with the kids. Also what kind of clay is the green metallic? - It's a beautiful colour.

It is Cernit. Looks like is two colors but in fact it is only one.

I am unable to read the small print of the type of wire you suggested! Could you please provide us with a link to where we can get that? I saved this video so after I get the correct supplies I can attempt this! Do you think this would be the same with a different polymer clay brand? Thank you for sharing!

I get the wire from a local hardware store where I live. It is very common steel wire sold everywhere, 1.2 gauge (it is a little thick, but you could use 0.70 gauge, which is a little easier to work with, with the same result). Aluminum wire is another option, also very common in the market everywhere. It is colored and very very soft, no matter the thickness, and I buy this at local hobby stores. Sorry that I can't provide a link, but I dont buy online. I use either fimo or cernit polymer clay, and I mix brands so far with no problem. Metallic green is from cernit. Thank you for watching😺
