This game means so much to me on a personal level. It goes way beyond football. My dad passed away in 2013. We were watching this game together. I was 13 years old at the time. When moss caught the winning touchdown I grabbed him around the waist and picked him up over my head as we jumped up and down in the living room. Such an amazing moment to be a skins fan. And we live in Louisiana lol

When that happened live, I swear all you saw was a blur flash across the screen. But you knew it was Sean Taylor. He was the only guy with that type of speed, anticipation, and hitting power. He baited Bledsoe into that throw and poor Patrick Crayton paid the price.

Why this game doesn't get more recognition as one of the greatest comebacks of all time is beyond me, but I remember almost going to bed cuz I thought the game was over and my dad encouraged me to stick around and sho nuff they pulled it off. At first I was wondering who destroyed that Dallas receiver and as soon as I thought about I said theres only one guy who could have hit someone that hard... Sean Taylor!

Gale Sayers needed 7 years to prove he was the greatest pure talent at his position ever. Sean Taylor needed less than 4. For those calling him nothing more than a hitter you never saw him play. He took over games like only the likes of ray Lewis, Lawrence Taylor, Reggie white could. He was as much of a ball hawk as ed reed, dropped the anvil and forced fumbles at an amazing rate. He could read offenses like it was nothing. He singlehandedly won them a playoff game. Ed will be the first to admit he wasn’t the best safety to come out the U. Troy wasn’t near the hitter Sean was. This team was built around his defensive unit and he was their heart and soul despite being a quiet humble guy turning his life around. They fed off his ruthlessness and effort!!

in my mind he is the 3rd best safety of all time behind only Ronnie Lott and Ed Reed. I'll never forget this game. I had my wisdom teeth pulled that day and was home watching on the couch with a bowl of ice cream loaded on Percocet. I thought I was dreaming until i woke up in the morning and realized it was true! Santana will always have a special place in my heart for this. HAIL!!!!!!!

I honestly believe Sean would have been the greatest safety ever if he would have played out his career. To this day there is no DB that has his combination of size, speed, range and strength. He was a one of kind freak athlete.

Will never ever forget this game. I was in elementary school at the time so unfortunately I had a bedtime. My mom goes to bed early and my dad has the tendency to fall asleep on the couch. I snuck downstairs to watch the second half and I went to bed with 5 minutes left.... my dad woke me up and told me in the morning and I couldn’t believe it.

I dozed off for a while, but woke up just as this play started and saw the touchdown pass to Santana Moss threading the needle and there was still enough time to win. When Brunnell threw the second touchdown to a wide open Moss I was just elated. There was still enough time for Dallas to kick a field goal, but skins defense held.I could see how happy Joe Gibbs was and I felt the same.I didn't know the first touchdown was a 4th and 15 until later.

That was the sweetest ending to a game EVER! The look on Parcells and Jerry Jones’ faces was priceless!!!! Gibbs never liked Parcells very much as I recall. And I loathed the man! I woke my then 3 year old son cheering for the game! He’s 16 now and as big a Redskins fan as I am.

I was so disgusted by this game (big times Skins/Gibbs fan) that I turned the game off and hit the Playstation 2 to ease my sorrow... then checked real quick on the game and I turned on the TV with the ball in the air and Santana Moss catching a TD pass, my first thought was "oh good we won't be shut out" then I saw the score and it was the 2nd TD, We won the game and I was embarrassed because it was the first time I ever gave up on a Gibbs coached team and I missed one of the 2 TDs.

Ahhh... Good Times! As much as I wish that the Redskins never changed their name, however I would rather focus on the ‘Skins memorabilia and memories from our childhood, going to FedEx Field and seeing them play, and whenever the Redskins scored a touchdown, wailing “Hail To The Redskins” at the top of my lungs, and just sitting down in the living room and going nuts when the Redskins game was on TV #WeLOVEDtheRedskins #IRREPLACABLEHistory.. #TheHogs #RIPSeanTaylor

An absolute punch to the gut because the Cowboys were in control and had outplayed Washington for much of the game and two (39 & 70) late-4th Quarter touchdowns by Brunell to Moss just erased everything. This game to me from earlier in that 2005 season is what decided that final Wild Card spot in the NFC because Washington finished 10 - 6 and Dallas finished 9 - 7.

Probably because the Cowboys have undergone even bigger embarrassments recently 😂 I will say the line John Madden said at 5:00 reminds me of the Detroit game this past season. They were not about to let that team lose on Jimmy Johnson’s ring of honor ceremony, even if it meant coming up with a bs penalty at the end.
