It’s crashed system files it’s a side effect of any computer with a storage device like a road you can only pave over the same thing in my experience mainly mobile devices have to be restored

Thanks Aaron the date and time trick helped get rid of system data hogging and brought it down from 130 GB to just 10 GB.

Thanks for these tips. My biggest issue I notice is Facebook, youtube, Firefox, and linkedin keep clogging up a lot of storage. I constantly offload and reload.

Thank you for these steps!! I don't use my phone that often except to keep in touch with family, so mine wasn't too bad. I was at just under 7GB, and did the first few steps which dropped me down to 1.07GB. iPhone 15 Pro Max 512GB.

Thank you for this video! A couple years ago my daughter's old iPhone 6S had system data that was bloated to over 30 gigs. Nothing I tried reduced it. Even if I factory reset the phone, the system data was still that big and I have no idea why. That phone is long gone, but I wonder if any of this would have helped.
My iPhone 14 Pro has system data that is up to 16 gigs, so I followed the steps and it is now down to 11.39. Not as small as yours, but its an improvement.

Yep. I deleted pics on my ipad over 6 months ago and ios still hasn’t reduced the pic storage. Also, the podcast app doesn’t return storage if you delete downloaded episodes unless you uninstall/reinstall it.
Should I trade in to 15 Pro Max or wait for 16 Pro Max? And which pro model should I choose next time? Currently unhappy with my 14 Pro with 89% battery health after a year with buggy experience with stuttering.

Changing dates to 1 year ahead immediately released 7GB of storage from system data. This was the best trick to free up space. I guess it worked for me because my phone is older than 1 year and i didn't reset it so far ever.

Hey Aaron!….great tips….Overall I went from 10.68gb all the way down to 6.69gb of system data….the last tip lowered the system data from 8.6gb to 6.6gb so a 25% reduction!👍

Witam, dane systemowe wyczyściłem twoim hard reset oraz zmiana daty także wyczyściła dane w moim ip15. Usunąłem w ten sposób ponad 3GB zbędnych danych ... wielkie dzięki i pozdrawiam :) ps. Ciekawe czy chcąc usunąć zbędne dane nie wystarczy twój ostatni sposób z przestawieniem daty :)

Fresh clean install make sure contacts notes and games are backed up and I recommend storing your photo library on an external hd managed on a Mac

The icloud photos back up on/off cleared it for me 62gb to 1.07gb
3:56 I found another way as opposed to deleting and installing the apps is to off load it. The advantage is I don’t have to login again. It’s faster I just tap the icon than searching again to reinstall the app.

Hello brother today i bought my 1st pro phone and that 15pro max 256gb natural titanium n i m so happy watching your video on my phone.. earlier i use to watch on ipad pro.
None of these worked on my brand new iPhone SE. I tried the entire list three times, with little effect. I currently have 37gb of system data out of 64gb. I have no photos or music on this phone.

What if you don’t use iCloud? The photos app is over 5 gigs and even if I delete all the photos, it’s still high. Some apps go up in size even if you just open them. I hope Mac doesn’t do this. I plan on getting one.

It's just a temporary solution. "clear cache" for apps is what we need.

My system data is using 1.07gb and my storage is 144/256gb just use google photos to save your picture and video
I’m super frustrated as I’ve tried all these and more and system data takes up 30-50 gigs of storage. I think the only solution is to factory reset and restore from a back up.
Apple should just fix the issue

i have an iphone 12 and not one of the steps helped unfortunately im now at 37 gb system data out of my phone 64gb my phone is also now unusable due to this problem and something with ios 18
I just did a hard reboot on my iPhone 15 and my system data went from 6.56 GB to 5.07 GB..
I tried everything and still 48gb being used by the system
I did the „force“ restart and my system data dropped from 45 GB to 1.7 GB
All you need to do is go to setting - general - transfer or reset iphone.then reset 2 things.reset keyboard dictionary & reset location & privacy.restart your phone after doing that.walla.

Why the hell my music app using 4.5 gb storage when i only have 1 gb downloaded songs?
From around 11gigs down to 3.96gigs
Changing date helps to get some storage back mine went from 17gb to 7 gb and after changing the date back to normal it again went to 17gb😂

One good tip, buy iPhone with more storage, people constantly complain about storage and battery life, buy the most expensive iPhone model then, problem solved. Cash talks 😂
256 GB needs to be base storage for all models.
