Shopping your own house was fun to see… I love how you have things stored in your craft room… it is organized so nicely ! Lol - I cover my eyes 😂 Precious Your mantle turned out lovely ! And it looks great with your shelf ! Ooo love the option 2 of the swap out sunflower painting in your bathroom! Another fun time with you ! God bless you 😇💝
Great job there I just did a video this morning on spending in my 60’s. I’m learning to shop my stash and love what I already have. I hope you escape the storm coming our way tomorrow. Deb
I ❤ your organization in your craft room! I love the way that you have everything displayed and easily assesaaable and ready to grab thats not in circulation in your main areas. Would you consider doing a video on your organizational style? Thank you! I would love to be that organized, and have the pieces that I’m not using be visual and ready to use instead of digging through bins in my basement. 😊
Love the way your mantel looks!! I like the empty frame you layered!! The picture you got at the yard sale is gorgeous!! Absolutely love the new rug!! The dark plate with the white flowers I think would look fantastic on your mantle…it would tie in the color of your cute clock!!🥰
Both shelves look fabulous! You are so good at staging vignettes. Your parents picture is so sweet and adds the perfect homey touch. I agree with you on the rug. It is pretty, but not the shade for the curtains. Thanks for sharing your decorating time with us.
I love the mantle, and I love that the plate with "the colors of your soul" is now displayed proudly where you can see it more. I agree it needs something in front of the pic. I saw a comment that mentioned a candle snuffer, and I agree that would do the trick. I love the bathroom shelf, and I think you should definitely keep the Tin. It really completes the look. I liked the florals better on the shelf instead of on the riser, but both options are pretty. You have such an amazing talent of decorating your home with vintage decor. And I love that you used items you already had . All of your paintings are absolutely gorgeous! You have such great luck finding them. Great video! Thank you so much for sharing! ❤
Hi Becky, the refresh of the bathroom shelf is absolutely perfect, love, love the sunflower artwork you chose. I like the dark candle holders as well. I do understand what you mean about the rug, all I can say is "don't settle" if you aren't okay with it. You might be happier with a more vibrant one and less "modern". The choices for the fireplace mantel are all really good, the only suggestion I would have would be to think about staggering the heights a bit more. It's always a joy to watch you.
It all looks great! Maybe add a little bit more greenery in front of the oil painting. That might satisfy your thought about needing something there. I think you put together n pretty vignettes. Very inspiring. 🤗💗
Hey Becky.Your mantel looks great and what you placed on it looks great!!I think your shelves take away a little from the fireplace .I also like your rug!You are delightful to see and listen too!!!!Stay warm hon!We are very cold here too in the East .One of our grown kids are in LA. Please keep them in your prayers.Thank you.❤🙏👍
I really enjoy grabbing a cup of tea and visiting with you as reset, redecorate your house. I love a lot of the same things as you do and I think you do a really great job of putting it all together.
I love everything you did! The picture you chose for above the mantle shelf is perfect and so is your fireplace mantle. Your rug looks good. It really does. Thanks for another fun video! Stay in and stay warm. We are bracing for the winter storm here too. We just got through Winter Storm Blair and now this new one is bearing down. Stay safe and enjoy your lovely, cozy home!
The mantel looks so beautiful Becky, before you mentioned putting the owl up there, I said to myself, I think an owl would look nice up there, I am so glad you added it. I absolutely love the picture you had in your shed, it looks gorgeous on your shelf in the bathroom, and I think the tin looks really nice too! Your new rug is beautiful, but I have to agree with you, I think you would get so much more joy from another shade, this one is pretty though. What a fun and amazing video, love it so much, thank you! 🌻❤🦉
Becky, I love the mantle and I love the empty gold frame so I would leave it. My only suggestion and that’s all it is because it’s your home your mantle. But I would switch the plate and the owl so the plate can shine on its own and not compete with your beautiful drapes. Bathroom turned out beautiful, I love the painting you chose. Now for the rug, I’m with you it’s a beautiful rug but it’s not the right shade for your vibe. I love hanging out with you, you’re adorable. 💜💜💜
I was thinking the same. It looks great, but I would switch the owl grouping with the plate grouping. The drapes and the plate seem to be competing…and that plate demands attention❤️❤️❤️
Hey! 😊 Love the mantle! I want you to know after I have seen several times your craft room- it's encouraged me and I can see my upstairs bonus room clean and organized. I want it to be neat like yours! I can't tell you how much you inspired me! It's a mess but I'm determined! Love your videos! Oh and love the memory table idea! 🤗🍄💓
Sandra remember that when I turn that camera on I have tidied up. As a matter of fact in my next video I said this same thing. That room is a work horse and I have stuff piled in there that I am working on a lot of the time. (currently wedding projects) Don't feel bad if your craft room isn't always neat as long as it is functional for you then you are doing it right.
Your mantle looks great! And the picture in the bathroom is perfect. I’m with you, I don’t like the rug. In the seventies my mom always had a braided rug. I can remember one with avocado greens and one with golds and browns. They were pretty.
Hi Becky, I love your styling with what you already have. I do this a lot and move things around in my house also. I Love the print in your bathroom with the wallpaper. The mantle looks great. I think using 3 brass candlesticks would balance it out. Also, the plate you chose is pretty, but I wonder what the darker floral plate would look like,it may look really nice with the color of your clock.Maybe you can try this as a change in the future!❤️
I think a couple of handmade candle holders from wood made by your husband would be very pretty on your new fireplace mantel. I’m sure he would love to make you some.
Becky, I love that you used the empty frame, I think it looks nice, and it's not too much. The owl is pretty up there. I like that you raised the flowers up on the bathroom mantle, looks pretty, and I like that picture better up there too. I think your new rug is very pretty, but...the shade of yellow/gold will probably make you happier, and would suit your decor better. If you're not gonna love it, well...we all know what we would probably do. I always enjoy your video's Becky...you're a Ray of Sunshine.
I think it’s a great idea shopping in your own house. Its the equivalent of rearranging your furniture. You’re still using things you love and own but giving it a refreshed look just by moving them to a new location. I always heard collections like floral arrangements should be in an odd number unless you’re going for symmetry. I think one more odd ball brass candle stick on the right side and you’re good. Love the picture of your parents so much better. You need a tiny brass cricket for your fireplace. I finally found one for mine and I love it. It’s supposed to be good luck to have one in your fireplace and it would be the perfect little thing to fill the void you were talking about. Funny- I was just doing the same thing with my mantle today. I keep finessing it since all the Xmas decorations are down. Nice to know that I’m not the only obsessed person whe it comes to this stuff!!😂😂❤
I like the tin on the mantel in the bathroom but I think the galvanized bucket for the flowers is throwing it off. I think a nice pottery bowl or vase to match the one in the picture would look lovely. I ordered a shag area rug in burnt orange off of Amazon for my granddaughter’s room because everything in my house is a straight out of the 70’s…lol and it’s glorious against the wood floors and adds just the right 70’s touch to the rest of the decor. It would look great in your living room. Love you and your home keep being groovey ✌🏼🧡🌼
@@MyLittleVintageHome I see it in my house all the time…. I’ll walk by and see something and say girl…. What were you thinking?! 😳😂 especially if you switched from one style like farmhouse to mcm it’s all the little things leftover that you just don’t notice 😊🧡✌🏼
That sunflower picture you put in the bathroom would look much better above your mantle in the living room. It would match great with the living room curtains.....😊
Hi Becky, love watching you decorate, your style and how you pull things together ❤ on your mantel, where you felt like it was a little lacking, in front of the painted pix, why not as a small owl?
Eveyone got snow but us. That storm made it to Eastern NC and said in it's best Forrest Gump voice "I'm tired now, I think I'll go home" I am glad all of my western neighbors got to see a little snow though. It doesn't happen often but it's nice to see it every now and then.
Always so fun visiting with you by video - mantle looks lovely. Only suggestion (and that is all it is) is I would find another place for the orange plate. It is beautiful but seems to compete with the drapes and the vintage era of the other pieces in the mantle. That is just my humble opinion - it is lovely either way. God bless! BTW - LOVE the bathroom mantle. Painting is perfect!
I think I am going to move the plate, so many of you suggested moving it to the other side I think I just wasn't seeing it through another set of eyes but you are correct, it needs to be on the other side.

In the bathroom, I really like the bolder dark brown candle holders instead of the white thinner ones. Just think of the carpet separating 2 areas., Sitting and then where your curtains are as a different room.
i agree about the darker brown candle holders. My paint job was a bust so I had to break down and buy a set from Amazon. They needed to be brown for sure.
Your mantel and bathroom shelves turned out good. But I can see your point about the rug . I agree with you it's a pretty rug but it doesn't blend with with your curtains. But sometimes it's hard to fine the perfect fit.❤
I think you did a great job with the mantle. If it’s feels right to you then leave it as is. I know you asked for our suggestion and I think if it was me I would put the beautiful plate where the owl is, just b/c it’s competing with the curtains and it really needs to stand out on its own. Which means changing the whole grouping to the other side. I like the empty frame, my mother had something very similar and it had a mirror where the empty part is and it was like a tray with perfume spray bottles that matched the frame and it had other pieces but I can’t remember what else it had and she had it on top of her dresser in her bedroom. Anyways that’s what the empty frame reminds me off. I think it looks great on your mantle. On the bathroom shelf you picked the right painting and I like either color for the candle holders. I like the size and pattern of the rug but agree yellow undertones would look so much better. Have one of your kids help you return it. If your husband is anything like mine, he won't care as long as he doesn't have to do the work.
After we have those wonderful decorations for Christmas I think it is hard to decorate the house too everything looks so boring so I have been decorating with some snowflakes to pacifiy me for a while til valentine's day 😊😊😊
Switch the left side with the right, the plate will show better. Use three candlesticks. and find something to hang from the top of the empty frame. Interesting video! Thank you.
@mylittlevintaghome the style you have would’ve worked had in been in the right colors. Geometrical was popular then too. I just remember as a kid we had those short shags in every room. 😂
@ good point. You got me intrigued so I did a little Google research and it does take a few little extra steps for upkeep. I guess while you are thrifting, you need to keep your eye out for a rug beater.😂
The shelf in the bathroom works well, I would leave the tin. I am not a fan of the greenery, though, in the bathroom, I think it takes away from your gorgeous wallpaper. I agree with one other subscriber, turn your empty frame horizontally. If you really want to fit the vibe of your living room, you need a gold or orange shag rug, no pattern 😅 Love to watch you playing around, stay safe in the crazy weather! ❤
That was a great price for an original oil painting at a yard sale! Original art is so much more interesting than the stuff you can buy at Home Goods or Hobby Lobby (nothing against either store). I'm not a fan of the new rug either.
Everything looks so good, but, you are right….one angle of the rug view is great….angle towards the curtains….no. One more time back to Home Depot! He will take you….last time!
You ask...so I will say that the florals you put in the bathroom with the sunflower art is too much. It does not look good. Try something like your owls. I'm not being ugly, just honest.❤
I think three candle sticks would look good and a candle snuffer would look good beside the clock. 💞
I like your fireplace, 🚒 mantle, what I like most is that pretty fall looking plate next to the curtains, their beautiful, 💜
I like how you styled the mantle and the shelf in the bathroom 🌻all three frames are really beautiful 💛🧡🤎

Aww the bathroom is so vintage cute. Maybe an ivory doily would look good on the shelf to break up all the tones too!
now that I can do, doily's I certainly have.
I like the rug.

You do a really good job. ❤️

Hi, Becky! Where did you find the vintage curtains in your living room? My late mother-in-law had similar ones in her living room. 😊
I made them myself. I have the same ones in my bedroom also. I bought a bulk of fabric from Ebay and whipped them right up.
Perhaps you could layer your rug with a solid yellow rug.
I like the size and pattern of the rug but agree yellow undertones would look so much better. Have one of your kids help you return it. If your husband is anything like mine, he won't care as long as he doesn't have to do the work.
@@maureenzielinski6708 the only option that was left was the rug that was the similar color as my floor. Do you think it would look okay?

I'm getting excited for Valentines Day decor but with all the wedding decor everywhere it might be limited to my porch this year. I'm trying.
I am thinking a gold shade rug.
Switch the left side with the right, the plate will show better. Use three candlesticks. and find something to hang from the top of the empty frame. Interesting video! Thank you.
That rug looks way too modern for you dear. And you know it. 😂 maybe find a gold or brown short shag?

Everything looks great! I agree with you about the rug. Although it's beautiful, the style and color doesn't work in the room.
Idk, I think if you fliped the sides it would be more flowing. Just a thought. You have a lot of color on one side.
In that vintage, gold frame is a picture that looks like a copy of something by pat buckley moss
I think the rug is a place holder until you find a shag rug…a dark orange maybe. Besides the color, it is definitely calling for a shag rug.
David would love that, he voted on a shag rug too. I just don't know how easy they are to clean.

LOL! I'll see if I can talk him into one last trip.

You ask...so I will say that the florals you put in the bathroom with the sunflower art is too much. It does not look good. Try something like your owls. I'm not being ugly, just honest.❤
Looks great
