Because of this channel and applying your information, I landed a 7lb 8oz yesterday evening. The absolute best fishing channel anywhere. I had struggled finding the fish, but using my graph and pinpointing areas before actually getting on the water, I’ve started finding them. Thank you
Always watch the birds in the winter months. The fish under the bait balls push the bait shallow and the birds see the bait. The bait goes to the warmest water in the winter. Always fish the warmest water in the lake. The fish usually feed heavily based upon weather fronts two days before they arrive. Never stop fishing to look for fish. It is a really bad idea. No chance they will bite as good tomorrow as they are today when you are catching fish. Never leave feeding fish to look for feeding fish you are just wasting your time. Make the most of every minute on the water by catching them when they bite. You may catch the biggest fish of a lifetime. If you drive around the lake in the winter watch the temperature the most over the graph. The graph shows resting fish and the birds show feeding fish. Spend more time learning about bait and you will catch bigger fish. If you fish with live bait you will realize how poor artificial baits really are. Live baits catch 10 to 1 over artificial unless the water is too cold for live bait to live. Jerk baits are the best artificial lure for feeding fish working bait balls. Throw jerk baits where birds are feeding. Birds are professional fishermen, they do it to live and they don’t waste time or energy. You will learn a lot from a bird.
Thanks for the updated content. Question: In your experience how long will these most productive spots will stay productive? I understand there is many variables involved for this. But what are you key points you focus for considering a productive spot? Thanks for your time.
From my experience any change in weather conditions or temperature can turn the fish on or off. Also in summer and winter fish are more likely to hold to a spot and just not be active while in fall and spring extreme changes in weather can move fish off a spot
Really appreciate the full thought process that you provide! Well done. It might be interesting to have a camera focused for more time on the graph when you are graphing.
Awesome approach! I know I get bad about not leaving the fish alone and get caught up in catching them. I am not near good enough at making sure I take the time to go searching for them.
Johnny, the Abu vengeance would be some what more sensitive without those gloves, in warmer weather. I use a friend of mine's pretty often and for 50 bucks it's not bad at all
I like how you cover the fish catching points then explain that variables may change everything for tomorrow. That's fishing, that's life. Be flexible but still have a plan and a plan B.
I’ve really enjoyed you channel. Great info! I’ve noticed in several of your videos the sky in the back ground is clear. Do you keep up with Baro? Like to know what you think how it relates
I ride around 5% of the time and fish 95% of the time because I can't afford fuel and oil plus wear and tear on my engine. Boat engines aren't cheap. It would be nice to be able to run around for hours looking. I also fish the same lake all the time so I know it really well so that helps on the running around
@Bennybass all engines wear out the more their ran. They need to be ran often to keep everything lubed up and good fuel on the system but high mileage wears anything out
The run and gun approach to bass fishing is stupid at best. I fished Lake Fork in January 25 years ago and caught over 100 bass none under 4 pounds throwing the same lure at the same tree all day long. I never moved off the spot. It was where several creeks ran together in 25 feet of water out in the middle of the lake. The largest bass was 9 pounds. This day broke all the rules. Think about it.
Only way to really find a pattern on a new lake is to drive and graph and drive and graph, find at least 15-20 spots that hold fish and like you said, no need to spend all day fishing these spots the fish will quickly tell you what they are doing. Pattern fishing wins tourneys. Period.
It’s not the only way to catch fish and or find fish no. But, winning patterns generally come from the guys who find them off shore. Of course a lot of the pro series fish during the spawn which would mean a lot of off shore stuff isn’t viable, so I guess I should say, “depending on the time of year”
Off the topic of fishing, but I noticed your boat rocking pretty good and you have on winter clothing. Do you have a boarding ladder on you boat in case you fall overboard? I feel overboard a week ago with heavy insulated bibs and a heavy winter coat plus layers and I could not get back in the boat. Thankfully, my brother was with me even though he could not pull me back in either and had to drive the boat to the shore as I clung to the side. The air temperature was about 42 degrees and the water was about 40 degrees. Since then I have been to the dealer and searched online for a ladder and cannot find anything suitable for my 2018 Tracker 170 Pro. What type do you have if you are using one. It never occurred to me that I needed one until I fell out. I fish alone quite a bit. With all that said, I really enjoy your videos!
I think it you look at some of the pros who have won events, they have a good ration between driving(graphing) and fishing. I also they when they are graphing, they’re looking for similar structure where they’ve caught fish before or where they might be in relation to either cover/structure and bait. Personally winter fishing up here in Minnesota is far more difficult because the fish are super lethargic and you’re drawing football jigs, casting swimbaits, or going live bait. But I think you’re doing what works and this is smart content by you.
great video for us fisherman

I’m from southwest Oklahoma. Lawton.
Awesome video. Ready for part 2!
Please bring back the catch 15 challenges. I learn so much from your prep and GameDay vids.
Waiting on the next video.

This was awesome!!! Will most definitely try this next year!!!
Where did you launch on tenkiller?
Someone accidentally bumped the thumbsdown. Johnny always has the cleanest positive feedback. Keep up the good work!
@fishthemoment What size line on rock crawler? I want to guess 12lb?
Do the follow up of the tournament day
The vengeance rods are notorious for the last guide insert busting out.
How'd you do in the turny?
Thanks for the updated content.

I like the new series
Love the series. Great content and info. Thanks!
this series is going to be awesome!!!
What are your thoughts on replacing the front treble hook with a red one or just using red hooks in general fishing?
Do you know of a channel which uses a fishfinder on a kayak, you are giving tons of good information thanks !
Really appreciate the full thought process that you provide! Well done. It might be interesting to have a camera focused for more time on the graph when you are graphing.

I think you are like most fishermen, we all like to fish more Han ride around. Good vid!! Keep up the great information. Appreciated...
Hello I really like your mannerisms I’m looking at a Garmin I was wondering if you Have ever used Panoptix? thanks for all the hard work you do.

Yea I've got several and I'm quite pleased... But I've never spent big money on a quality rod so I don't know what I'm missing out on
I like how you cover the fish catching points then explain that variables may change everything for tomorrow. That's fishing, that's life. Be flexible but still have a plan and a plan B.
Why the upper part of the lake? Does trolling have a place?
Liked this type of vid man!! Look forward to the next one like it!!!

Are you from Oklahoma ? First time I seen fishermen UA-cam with videos in Oklahoma
The area with the 2nd fish we smashed them in February on A-rigs
Thank you do doing this series, I have at time struggled with the same issues
Another great video I think the winter videos are the best , winter time hard to catch fish at times cause of all the fronts moving in an out

70 driving wake pionting looking and 30 fishing.
Great video, I learned something through your process. You should try the Shimano SLX rods at $99.99. Thanks
I'm a "bank beater". this was interesting.
You look like Carl jocumsen in a way fishing out there plus im sure you know he won there

Just couldn’t put the rod down could ya lol
Jordan Spalding I actually only fished for 1.5 hours and graphed for 2 hours. I just showed more fishing than driving because it’s more entertaining
Fish the Moment lol gotcha. Really like these type videos. Helps with learning new approaches from others !
