Nice work bud. Like the other commenter I also have the black one, but went a bit further on the electronics. Pickups got replaced with Dimarzios (Super Distortion S in the bridge, Chopper in the neck), the pots got switched to CTS 1meg audio taper, and the phase toggle switch got replaced with a momentary killswitch button. I play primarily rock/metal/punk so the old phase shift was useless to me, and the killswitch is marginally less so (but much more fun). I'm now considering getting a custom pickguard made so I can install a 3 way blade switch rather than the toggle which I'm not too keen on.
Hopefully the reissue is better than the original. I bought one new back in the 80s when I was a road musician. To say it was blah doesn't really describe it well. It was benign. The pickups were soap bar singles and were very low output....they wouldn't drive anything. It's no wonder the guitar didn't stay around long.
I have one of the reissues in black. Also swapped out the bridge pickup for a rail. Great guitar, easy to play, and sounds fantastic.
Perfect upgrade. More versatility :)
Great video, Love how you explain every step of the process.
Cheers Lee.

Yea I don't think that phase option was very useful. Kill switch sounds like a great idea
You beat me to it, i was gonna go the whole hog and use 2 sets of rails. Gonna have to check out that HB tho.
I lIke rails but the HB look great, I think
