I was just checking out Robert Parker's hit and stumbled on to this wonderful performance. I can't believe I never heard of this guy before. Jazz/Soul Stylin' at it's best IMHO !!!
I get to see this guitar genius about once a year in a small bar where I live. He's even better live, and a super nice guy on top of it. He never bores you or lets you drift off. Awesome performer.
This Cain character just makes me smile ..... well smile and have a cold one .... well smile, have a cold one, and buy a round for everyone else who is smiling .... well smile, have a cold one, buy a round for everyone, talk to folks I just met 5 minutes ago (and listen too) and thank the waitress for doing a wonderful job .... well you get the picture ..... it's alllll good ..... once you have seen Chris Cain play even ONE song live, you will be a fan for life ! thx for these uploads John
The really FUNNY part is been around and making records for thirty plus years and nobody had heard of him until now? I being a blues drummer am friends with the Bass player, STEVE EVENS, that's how I heard about him. Key board is pretty hot too. Nice matching for Chris.
jcregg1: father was a black man, mom was of Greek heritage. Raised in east San Jose. Gained local notoriety at JJ’s on Stevens Creek Blvd. As nice a guy as you’ll ever meet.

He looks like Jerry Lewis having a spaz attack, but he plays beautifully...
