I was there as well. The announced attendance was 42,925 and there couldn't have been more than 4,000 UNC fans there. Have never seen a neutral-site game so one-sided in the stands. Was a major letdown for UNC after being ranked in the top-10 at one point. For WVU, this was a great accomplishment following several down seasons. Even if you allow the bowl to inflate the attendance by 3,000, it still comes closer to 90-percent WVU fans in the stadium. Even Neal Brown told his team it was a home game during the pre-game speech.
Winning this ball game was definitely a shot in the arm for the West Virginia mountaineer football team I like where this program is going finally, where you been down a few years but we are definitely on the comeback let's go mountaineers good luck in 2024.
Last night was crazy! It's not every day when I'm laughing with the commentators.. very fun game to watch! Except the obvious missed PI call (UNC TD)... the whole mayo theme was outta control, but it was funny!
The refs gave NC a touchdown. Offensive interference should of been called. NC receiver pushed off and the refs looked the other way. NC should of only scored 3 points!!! WVU would of won this game even if NC had all of its players playing.
It wasn't just that call. Seemed like every good play we had in the 1st half, was called back by penalty!! Stupid ass jenky calls that could be called every play!! Needless to say, I was very upset with the zebras @ half !!
WVU was missing several players as well. It would of not made any difference. WVU is the better team. They play in the Big 12. The ACC is a weak conference.
@@Drumwolf62I agree that the ACC is weak but the big 12 was a joke this year too. None of the teams we beat had a winning record and the teams that did handed us our asses on a silver platter. I'm not convinced we are as good as a lot of our fanbase thinks. If we go win 9 or 10 games next year, I'll eat crow. Happily. But I'm still skeptical of brown and wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see us at 6-6 at the end of next season. We shall see I guess

I was there and let me tell you I’m 71yrs and that game hell that day was awesome. I’m so proud to be a Mountaineer.
