  • In this video, I am showing which OEM parts need to be transferred to your Koni Yellow struts, as well as addressing some quirky issues you may run into with the install.
    I am also covering how to make a DIY bushing press, specifically for your lower strut bushings on the 370Z/G37.
    I did not initially plan to make this video, so I had not recorded the install of the front struts, however, the OEM parts you need to transfer are pretty obvious and I would recommend ‪@milanmastracci‬ coilover install video for a thorough walkthrough of the install process.

    First koni yellow sport install I’ve found. For the price one would think it would have better instructions, hence all the parts and using old OEM parts.

      Agreed! I wish I had thought to start making it from the beginning of the install, but at least the front was fairly intuitive.

    Great video, when you replaced the bushing , how did you know you were at “ride height” when you raised the jack?

      @MDVLmedia  Рік тому

      Thanks! Doesn’t need to be exactly ride height, but you want it around there just to reduce any binding.

    What was the whole point of replacing the rear bushing on the knuckle?

      @MDVLmedia  Рік тому +1

      The first side (not in the video) was destroyed. I forget exactly how now, but it was not useable.

      @@MDVLmediahow bad was the alignment on the rear toe and camber? Did you buy rear camber arms and rear toe bolts?

    • @MDVLmedia
      @MDVLmedia  Рік тому

      @@khoazyxo Camber and toe were both pretty rough when I finished. I tried to get an alignment done by two different places and they were unable to get my camber within factory spec.
      I ended up buying adjustable rear camber arms and adjustable front full upper control arms. Toe was adjusted to spec with the factory toe bolts.

    Do you have a video for the fronts?

      @MDVLmedia  Рік тому

      Sorry Joe, I do not. But if you follow the link in the description, there is a video that shows the overall process. Its for coilovers, but that’ll get you 95% of the way there. If you have any additional questions about the install, Id be happy to help.

      @@MDVLmedia Yes! My Konis dont have them. Do I have to swap them over from the oem shocks on to the Konis?

    • @MDVLmedia
      @MDVLmedia  Рік тому +1

      @@reesecup4567 Nope! That collar is what the top portion of the strut assembly sits on (which you will swap onto the Konis). The Konis have sort of a shelf, where the shaft becomes wider. This serves the same purpose.
