I can not wait to see the final work; with you and your husband skill for detailed; crisp and antique style this will be the best trailer transformation on the YT.... Hope the Family is safe from the Corona.....
One of the easiest things we used were small ball ended bungee cords to put on fridge, drawers, and cabinets to keep items from shifting and pushing contents out everywhere. We also put small latches, and or long dowel rods in the tracks of pocket doors. Kept them from sliding back and forth and coming off track. Before you go out on your first camping trip make several copies of a “camp set-up list”, and a “camp pack-up list”. These lists will help you remember everything you need to do for successful and expedient trips. Philip and you should also go behind each other and check everything before pulling out. Two heads are better than one. I am so excited to see the finished camper. You two remind me of my many years of traveling. I loved every minute and cannot express to you the beauty of the USA and Canada. It is breathtaking! Have fun. Life is short!
Oh my goodness, this takes me back to 1995 when my husband and I bought a 1988 camper and remodeled it! We did a lot of the same things you are doing. Your boys will have wonderful memories and will camp when they grow up as ours do!
We picked up a 1972 trailer last year that had been gutted. We fixed it up to use as a bunkie at our lake house. We have a big family and needed more guest room. It is not road worthy and will be parked permanently. We removed the drop-down table and you are more than welcome to it. It's an open room with a queen bed and a set of bunks. I have all the hardware. Maybe we could trade for a sign. Everyone calls it "The Hilbilly Hilton"
He loves being with us any chance he can. I don’t normall hang out in the front yard with him so we need to get a longer extended lead for him to be with us while we work on some parts of the project. Better to have him on a runner than wandering because you never can be too safe
I redid a camper for my son. Make sure you sand and prime any surface before painting and that wallpaper is a bear to take down. New curtains make a huge difference and I used peel and stick tiles to update the floor without adding weight. Can't wait to see the end results.
OMG! You guys are so cute! I like that hubby is showing his face more in front of the camera in the videos. #crafytcouple . I also LOVE that you are coming into your own and exhibiting more confidence and pacing yourself when speaking. I love your enthusiasm and fervour for what you do. It's so inspiring! Keep it up. 💖
Hi, you and hubby are such hard workers. You have made a big difference already. You did mention a different flooring in the kitchen area, I would vote no. I'm a believer in one flooring in small spaces, better sense of space and flow. Good luck!
Storage, storage, you dont realize how much you need. Food, dishes, shoes, clothes, games, dog food, outside chairs. Its looks like you have alot until you start trying to put everything away behind closed doors. No open shelves, it will all fall in the floor when you move. I'm excited to see the finished product. I know it will beautiful.
They're not wrong though. Making shallower overhead right-sized storage for dishes, etc would be my thing too. I've got my camper loaded and I realize a better shape/size of overheads is possible which would open up the space and still give the utility for dishes, spices, etc and possibly create "restraining" holds so things do not move at all since it's custom-built. But you're right, eliminating storage should be carefully analyzed and considered by recreating some storage spaces more efficiently and ideally to suit a custom build. Unlike a factory production, this is going to have the opportunity to be significantly more efficient.
I agree about storage - will be interested to see how you replace it. The double bed area is such a waste of space to have it like that without it being a transform area. The double bed in our caravan was 2 padded bench seats with a board which slid in the middle and the cushions slide down to form the mattress Also you need decent lighting
I just found your channel today while doing a search for old camper renovations. This is perfect. I purchased a 1987 RV that needs TLC and I’m looking for ideas, and seeing lots of similar issues! Only on episode 2 but will binge watch to get caught up. Thank you for sharing your journey. You have a lovely family.
On the bench you will put across try to put more storage. Although the cabinets above were cumbersome...storage for clothes and such takes a lot of space. I admire your project and can't wait to see progress and final reveal. I love your taste.
So happy for your family, so exciting. I know your going to do a fabulous remodel. This is something I would love to attempt. Thanks for taking us on your journey! Marlys
I love the giddy look on your face when you talk about the remodel. You’re like a kid on Christmas morning! 😂 So fun to watch this process. Thanks for sharing! 🥰
To remove the contact wallpaper, heat it with a hair dryer. Then you can peel it off. It's actually pretty fun. My fingers are itching to drive over and help you. I love re-doing old campers.
This brings back good memories of our own renovation of our caravan. We also remove the cabinets etc, etc, and everyone was worried about it, so I know how it feels, but it all went right. And with your talent I know it’s gonna be fantastic. I’m just soooooo excited and anxious as you are for this make over, I can’t barely wait for the next video.🥰
So excited for you guys, always love your enthusiasm and energy. I would use the same flooring throughout, it will make flow better. Can’t wait to watch the rest. Have Fun 🤟🏻
Hubby just hauled in my future studio/she shed into our property. I’ve been cleaning it out and planning what will work best for small space. It’s only 18 ft long. You are inspiring me!
Demo Day was my favourite day when we did it to our van (we gutted it so we could use it to transport our stuff when we moved 2000kms from Queensland to Tasmania). Now I’m excited to finally start building stuff in there! Can’t wait to see what you guys do with yours!
We have a bit bigger camper and I still get claustrophobic at night. Try a night light and figure a spot for a fan to blow into the sleep space - really helps.
This is great ! I love watching transformations of old campers... it amazes me what people do to them and how amazing they look! Can’t wait for more videos!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! 👍👍
So excited for you all! I live year round in a toy hauler and LOVE it! When you get to the point where you're adding finishing touches, I'll weigh in with some space-saving tips. Here's one now though...to make the trailer feel bigger, use the same flooring throughout and lay it diagonally, not from end to end. Enjoy the remodel! ❤💚💙
I love how you have opened up the floorplan. I have done renovations on trailers also and it can be really rewarding. I am in the process of renovating a vintage 10 ft. Aristrocrat. I'm going to take some of your ideas I'm sure. I just love everything you do. Keep on inspiring us.
My grandparents had one like this in America it was called a Terry. The kitchen was in the middle and a table and benches on the opposite from the kitchen. It gave more space between my Uncle who slept in the front and the back where the Grandparents slept. I can’t wait to see how beautiful it will be. I know with your creativity it will be awesome. I’m so happy for you all🥰
Elysia, I commented on your first camper Reno video that I’ve always wanted to redo a camper and that I was living vicariously through you, but your video lit a fire in me!! I’ve been looking at fixer upper campers online this week and my husband and I went to look at one today. I think we’re picking it up Friday!!!! 😍 So now I’ll be renoing my camper right along with you!!!!!!!
Excited for you ,love a good makeover.I have a small van like a ford connect ,it contains a bed ,toilet ,kitchen, storage, water filter, everything a large van would have.I really enjoyed designing it so i feel your joy lol. A GOOD TIP is to make it so it's easy to change later on because you know you will, there will be tweaking and redesigning going on lol.My last 18ft van got redesigned 4 times in 7 years but i realised i didn't need all that space and went tiny ,less room ,less stuff .Best wishes.
I’m sooo jealous right now lol 😂 this has been our dream forever to get a trailer or RV so thrilled for you guys and I can’t wait to see what it looks like after your magic touch!!!
FUN! We want to get a travel trailer for some road trips! We usually go to New Braunfels here in Texas a few times per year and an RV would be a great investment. Oh, maybe you can look online to check out some new campers to get some useful ideas for your RV on how you want the table to fold to a bed and some storage ideas.
We got an 06 trailer a couple of years ago and I am going to be remodelling it this year. I admire your work and your awesome ideas. I am so excited to see what you do. ❤️😊
A really colorful cargo net (macrame?) for above the dining room area would be useful, things won’t fall out. Plus a shallow shelf with a brace so things can’t fall.
Love that big window up front:) Hmm. Maybe you should make the area across from the couch the bed space since it is wider and put the seating area where the couch is, since that couch sticks out. And maybe you can do open shelving and hooks on the wall in the bedroom area for clothes. Maybe open shelving above your new seating area? Probably need new insulation everywhere too.
You will have great memories. You and your husband work well together. Enjoying this very much. Camping is so much fun
I can not wait to see the final work; with you and your husband skill for detailed; crisp and antique style this will be the best trailer transformation on the YT....
Hope the Family is safe from the Corona.....
Totally love the little moon and sun decoration between the cabinets 🥰 I hope you keep it during the Reno, if not SEND IT TO ME FOR MINE LOL 😁
Elysia, OMG.........y’all have a treasure to create on your own. Soooooo positive, a pleasure to follow y’all.
Just got my camper and these videos are amazing!! So entertaining and inspiring

Wow! You got a lot done in one day. Excited to see the progress you make.
What a great project for your family. A lot of hard work but well worth it. Thanks for taking us along the journey!
You are off to a great start! And a week ahead of schedule! Way to go! All the best!
You and hubby are hard workers. I will enjoy this ride.
It is so refreshing to see young parents that teach their kids to actually enjoy life instead of sticking them in front of a computer. 😘

BTW we live on Lake Dalrymple near Orillia
As a pet rescuer, I'm so glad you are so responsible with Gunner!❤🐾❤🐾❤
He loves being with us any chance he can. I don’t normall hang out in the front yard with him so we need to get a longer extended lead for him to be with us while we work on some parts of the project. Better to have him on a runner than wandering because you never can be too safe
What a fun project! I can't wait to see what you are able to do to it to transform it. Thanks for letting us in on your journey!
I really like this woman's entusiasm and energy.
My partner and I want to do this too...I'm getting so motivated watching you transform your camper. Can't wait for part 3 :)
I redid a camper for my son. Make sure you sand and prime any surface before painting and that wallpaper is a bear to take down. New curtains make a huge difference and I used peel and stick tiles to update the floor without adding weight. Can't wait to see the end results.
You put in a good days work... Can't wait to see what you turn it into..
I have boho decor dreams haha
@@ElysiaEnglish I cant wait to see it.. Like you, I'm also here in Ontario... Hamilton, so we are neighbors..lol.
Can’t wait to see the transformation! Me & my husband have a 2016 R-Pod. It’s cute but small. We had to take out a few things to make room.
So fun to watch! Love how excited the whole family is! Camping as a kid are my favorite memories!!!❤️

I am on the edge of my seat for this transformation.I can't wait to see what you've done to the place. Good Luck!!!
Your channel just keeps getting better and better. Can't wait for the next episode.
Such wonderful memories you will be creating.
What an exciting adventure. I loved redoing our camper when we got it.....years ago and hated selling it. It was our second home.
Hi, you and hubby are such hard workers. You have made a big difference already. You did mention a different flooring in the kitchen area, I would vote no. I'm a believer in one flooring in small spaces, better sense of space and flow. Good luck!

Great first day, but you two are always top of the class in effort
I like it better already. What a fun project. I can’t wait for the next video. I wish I lived closer I would come and help you
Aww thanks Beverly! I appreciate your kindness! I am probably too far away!
Yup! First things to go on our rebuild were the fabrics and foamies. Looks like an amazing space.
On the bench you will put across try to put more storage. Although the cabinets above were cumbersome...storage for clothes and such takes a lot of space. I admire your project and can't wait to see progress and final reveal. I love your taste.
A lot of work ahead of you. Once you start putting in the new stuff, then its fun. Good luck and can't wait to see the final project.
This is so exciting to watch you guys renovate this travel trailer. Can't wait for the next video.
Hi Elysia
You have a big job ahead of you. Looks like fun. Demolition is the best part. Love, love your dog. How cute is he. Leta
Our basset is such a good boy! He loves to hang out with us whatever we are up to!
Demolition can be fun. You all got alot done
So happy for your family, so exciting. I know your going to do a fabulous remodel. This is something I would love to attempt. Thanks for taking us on your journey! Marlys
So excited for your whole family, I can hardly wait to watch the updates and then the final reveal.

This is going to be an amazing transformation! I can’t wait to see it all come together!
I just bought a 27ft trailer your videos motive me to start remodeling mine thank you can't wait to see how it turns out!!
How exciting for you all....I'm like you I love doing stuff like that.
To remove the contact wallpaper, heat it with a hair dryer. Then you can peel it off. It's actually pretty fun. My fingers are itching to drive over and help you. I love re-doing old campers.
I would have the whole floor the same right through, it will make it flow better and make the space look bigger ..
This brings back good memories of our own renovation of our caravan. We also remove the cabinets etc, etc, and everyone was worried about it, so I know how it feels, but it all went right. This is going to be so fun to watch!
Wow! Can't wait to see how it develops.
So excited for you guys, always love your enthusiasm and energy.
I would use the same flooring throughout, it will make flow better.
Can’t wait to watch the rest.
Have Fun 🤟🏻
Can’t wait to see it finished, such an exciting project

I think I'm as excited as you are to see what you will do!
Those upper cabinets would make great bench bases with storage under your new seating area.
This is great ! I love watching transformations of old campers... it amazes me what people do to them and how amazing they look!
Can’t wait for more videos!!! GOOD LUCK!!!! 👍👍
You have an amazing amount of energy after working so hard!

Thanks for the tips!
Vinyl planking flooring would be a good option. If it gets soaking wet you can just lift it and put it back down again and it's easy to install
I’m so excited for y’all! I can’t wait for your next video!!!
Always Happy to see what you transform , an to renovate a trailer is a such great idea👍👍👍👍
This is so exciting, I can't wait to see the demo done and then follow along with all the updates!!!
I love how you have opened up the floorplan. I have done renovations on trailers also and it can be really rewarding. I am in the process of renovating a vintage 10 ft. Aristrocrat. I'm going to take some of your ideas I'm sure. I just love everything you do. Keep on inspiring us.

I can't wait to see the end results!! We love to camp too and I would eventually like to makeover our trailer some day too.
You know you need cute cafe clips for your bedroom curtain!
This is the BEST! I cannot wait to see more remodeling of the trailer!
Finding the E was. Interesting indeed....God bless y’all and stay safe and healthy! Thank you for sharing

Thank you! I have SO many ideas! I cant wait to get started on the cosmetic parts of the transformation!
I’m sooo jealous right now lol 😂 this has been our dream forever to get a trailer or RV so thrilled for you guys and I can’t wait to see what it looks like after your magic touch!!!
I have so many ideas haha I am itching to get started!
Elysia English Oh I bet, I would love to get in there too and make it fab!!
Check repo auctions! You can get a good deal on a nice camper if you're patient.
FUN! We want to get a travel trailer for some road trips! We usually go to New Braunfels here in Texas a few times per year and an RV would be a great investment. I'm loving your hair band ! Can't hardly wait to see y'alls finished product I'm sure it will be awesome !!!
My mother in law made it for me! Keeps my ears warm!
Yay! Fun project. Love that you found an E!!!

Labor of love! Can't wait to see the finished product!
We got an 06 trailer a couple of years ago and I am going to be remodelling it this year. I admire your work and your awesome ideas. I am so excited to see what you do. ❤️😊
Wow lots of hard work. I can’t wait to see your magic on it
So excited to follow this project!!
I will be watching ALL of this! I so want to do this!
Use all one color floor....
Storage under the little sectional you want to put in would be very handy!
Excited to see the finished project 👍
So excited! Looking forward to the final reno!
Great trailer. Cant wait to see what you do with it.
Such fun. I love doing things like this it’s really hard work but when u finish it’s great. Good luck hope u don’t find big problems
I'm so excited to see what you do with this camper!
We bought 34 ft 83 .looked pretty much same inside 4 yrs tiny housing .
.can't wait to see it.let your imagination run..
So excited to see how this turns out.
You are giving me great ideas because i wanna save up my money buy a camper redo it the move in it. thxs so much
A really colorful cargo net (macrame?) for above the dining room area would be useful, things won’t fall out. Plus a shallow shelf with a brace so things can’t fall.
this is so exciting!!! i have a feeling you're going to keep the wood look walls and do something amazing with it.
Wow that floor!!! I bet you are so excited to get this up to scratch? Great job so far.Xx
Love that big window up front:)
Hmm. Maybe you should make the area across from the couch the bed space since it is wider and put the seating area where the couch is, since that couch sticks out.
And maybe you can do open shelving and hooks on the wall in the bedroom area for clothes.
Maybe open shelving above your new seating area?
Probably need new insulation everywhere too.
me too!! There is a big one on both sides at the front under the road shield!
Awesome from the dollar tree works so good for getting the black stuff off the outside of the camper.
I plan on painting the outside so it will all be sanded and painted :)
So excited to see the transformation. Feeling that wanderlust myself. 😊 Really enjoy your channel!
