I shaded the flowers in the trees lavender because that's my oldest daughter's favorite color. The water was ruined by a stage hand who poured too much dye in it, making it look tidy-bowl blue. I was asked if I could color it to make it look "clear" so they wouldn't have to stretch the vfx budget any further. I said "yes" before I could fully grasp what they were requesting! 😳 I used reference photos of clear lakes and rivers to get an idea of what I wanted to do. Then I hand drew reflections and neutralized the blue as much as possible. I'm pretty proud of the result! Many of the shots were filmed in the fall, which means a lot of the green grass and trees were created by yours truly!
How does she go from petting the elk or whatever that is to stepping back to all of a sudden petting it again. What kind of dollar tree editors did they have?
