  • Video describes an very easy step-by-step method to make an handmade laparoscopic endoloop, useful for appendicectomy, complicatec cholecystectomy, and every other surgical procedure that needs an endoloop. I have a personal preference to use Prolene 0 or 2.0, but other materials can be used too.
    Note: this is a demonstration video, after an appendicectomy, so no sterile environment is presented.

      That's the intent of most of my videos, share knowledge!
      It's very sad can't perform a procedure because you don't have an expensive device when you can replace it by simple and inexpensive solutions without any problems...
      Hope your hospital gets bigger!!! :)

    Hey! This Ferrira's knot is quickest than the traditionnal mishra knot I used to use... and still usable without the knot pusher!
    I think i'll try it and will surely adopt it! thanx bro, you're a legend!

    Thankyou for creating this amazing video doctor very informative and got to know a lot about laparoscopic endoloops
    Doctor I have a few questions I can't find the answers for them anywhere so can I ask them here,
    You said in the comments that you use them for performing appendicectomy so I want to know that
    1) The endoloops stay inside the body even after the appendix is cut and taken out I want to ask can they cause any sort of harm or injury or scratch to the inner organs of the patient because they seem pretty pointed and sharp and is the material safe
    2) and are they safe for a lifetime, I mean can they cause any sort of infection or complication to the patient
    3) and is there a chance that they might open and just in case they open would it be dangerous for the patient?
    4) and last can appendicitis also happen because of covid 19 my friend was infected with corona virus and at the same time also happened to have appendicitis so I read that appendicitis happens when the appendix is infected and the infection could also happen because of the invasion of a foreign body corona virus is a foreign body to the body so can appendicitis also happen because the body is already infected with corona virus
    Thankyou once again doctor for creating this wonderful video
    I hope you answer my questions I would really be grateful
    And may God bless you for the amazing work you are doing

      Hi Borasaek Tokki
      Thanks for your questions, they are really interesting...
      My opinion:
      1 - the endoloops in that surgery were made from a material called prolene, it's pretty safe to be left inside the abdomen and doesn't interact with other organs.
      2 - no chance to infections caused by the little string left inside.
      3 - yes, the stump can open and leak, that's one of the worst complications of this kind of surgery BUT it's VERY rare to occour and no one knows the cause... It's important to pay attention to not use excessive force when the loop is closed, it can be one of the causes of complication.
      4 - I belive COVID 19 can cause appendicitits... the main problem of that virus is that it causes hipercoagulation that can interfere with the appendix vessels and cause appendicitis... but it's not that common...
      I hope i answerd your questions...
      Best regards!

    Hi.fine kont. is it different from Roeder's knot.in last you applied only one half knot while Roeder's knot is 2,3,2 i think.

    • @shde6628
      @shde6628 3 роки тому

      1, 3, 1 is Standard Roeder's. 2,3,2 is Modified Roeder's or Melzer knot, while Dr ITF put on 2, 3, 1. Probably experience has taught him that that second lock ( half knot ) may not be essential.

    • @shde6628
      @shde6628 3 роки тому

    very nice sir.. beautiful.,. am going to try this now.. just a doubt, u have commented that it works well with prolene..1) when u use prolene - same style and anatomy of knot? 2) next which surgeries u use prolene for knot ? and which no?//.. thank you .keep posting love watching ur videos and music .-Shriraam Ayyar

    • @IgorTFerreira
      @IgorTFerreira  5 років тому +3

      Hi shiraam ayyar!
      Usually i only use prolene 0 for the endoloops and for muscular aponeurosis closure...
      The main advantage of prolene for endoloops is that it keep it's format during manipulation, it is easier to handle... Vicryl may be used on endoloops too, the advantage is that it's reabsorbable...
      For other sutures, like intestinal anastomosis or peritoneal closure during hernia sugery for exampole, i prefer vicryl or PDS 2.0 or 3.0. For hiatal hernia - diaphragm crus suture i prefer ethibond 0 or prolene 0
      Hope i answered you!
      Wish you a great weekend!
