IU is literally a sensation in S. Korea. She is called a digital monster because every song she has dropped has been nothing but a banger, literally reaching the top spot in matter of hours. She is a household name and everyone from a small child to old grandpa, all know her and love her.
IU's solo concert in Seoul 'The golden hour' was done in the olympic stadium and she is the first ever solo artist to achieve this.
Also funfact: IU is also a certified police officer

Blueming is about texting. Our colour is Gray and Blue is iphone messages colour. Other indicator is in lyrics like "our rectangular box is bloom" "we fill this with our thumbs".
Above the Time MV is continuation of her music video from 2011 called You & I. Same actor too. It is kind of a fantasy story. In You & I music video, IU cant wait to be adult so her boyfriend who fell in a deep sleep will wake up. She created a time machine where she can travel into the future but the guy did not recognize her. While she is inside the time machine right before she dissappear into future the guy actually woke up.
Lilac is title track of her last album in 20s. Basically recapping how her 20s went and cheerfully bidding goodbye as she is moving into 30s. In the beginning of the MV, you can see the train schedule is actually the list of all her age series song from 20 year old to 29 year old. Palette is one of them.
IU's "Outside of Time" is a follow-up track to the previously released "You and I." Connecting these two songs reveals a storyline that becomes understandable.
The departure of the train at the end of the "LILAC" music video symbolizes IU bidding farewell to her twenties, while the train returning to the platform represents IU's entry into her new journey in her thirties.
When I first entered into the kpop world (after discovering BTS), the first time I heard about IU was with the song "BBIBBI" and I just fell in love with her musics + I love different genres of music, but IU'S songs, are the types of songs that I listen most of the time 💯
41:30 the actor in "Above the time MV" is Lee Hyunwoo a good friend of IU he's also in IU's music video in "You & I" the first part of the linked story in this MV, this is also Hyunwoo first comeback project after his military ❤
IU is the best contemporary lyricist if nothing to envy anyone through time. He's excellent in all his lyrics, videos, performances. The world would have to pay homage to her on a daily basis just for being contemporaries of her!! A living genius!! ❤❤❤
