Brandon Fox, man talk about throwing yourself in at the deep end. Brandon Fox I totally agree with you mate. The early to mid 2000 bikes were bests but there are a few companies out there building the big 2 strokes again. The KLR was a beast of an enduro machine but a bit weighty, that being said the torque of them is amazing.
Absolute mayhem, love it! I never got to take my 1988 CR500 out in the field the way she deserves but found some but found some comfort in your video ;)
holy shit you're the first youtuber i've ever seen that knows how to actually start a 500. dunk it until you see gas, pick it up, pull the choke, find the sweet spot on the kicker. boom. no wasted kicks
I had a '95 CR250 from Honda of Troy to race the SoCal Vet nationals. Was an exact Brian Swink bike except for the suspension which was stock with Bones at PC doing all my revalves and testing. @Billy Job And that is where you are partly wrong. Fun makes you happy. Well i've never met any one that has heard a funny joke and then felt sad... Sooo. Most people that say that money doesn't buy happiness are either people that have a lot of money, or "simple minded people. Which is ok either way. Just don't think that it won't work for you just because it didn't work for someone else. And the argument about bringing back lost people is just so shitty. So bad. Moronic. You can still live a happy life even after loosing someone. But having no money will not help with the mood, having more money will clearly help. In any case. Name me one situation where having no money would be better than having money. Just one.
@Billy Job I'd be pretty happy if i could buy a house and not live in a shit apartment. I'd be pretty happy if i could buy something nice for my parents. Wouldn't even be fun, would just make them and me happy. Could also buy an amusement park but that would probably just be for "the fun". People seem to have forgotten what happiness comes from... It's not rocket science :) But sure, there's always going to be that 1 person out there that says he's happy with having nothing at all. I think what he means is that he accepts that he has nothing. But maybe he is happy. Only he can tell.
@@crispy-k " money doesn't buy happiness " means that it really doesn't matter are you " rich " or just a regular person who has enough money to live. If you have too much and you could literally buy anything you would want to, it would not make your life better. The happiness would be temporary. For an example, you can't " buy " true love with money. Doesn't matter do you have 10$ or 1 mil $. It may *help* with the situations a bit, but once again it's temporary. I'm neither broke or rich. I'm just a normal guy who has " enough " money for my needs. I don't " need " any more than this. I'm totally happy with all I have and all I have achieved. Sometimes, it would be nice to have a bit extra to buy for an example a new car / pc and things like that, but that wouldn't make me any happier inside. It's all temporary.
@@PahEz i see what you mean, what i said was meant as a joke. The true love excuse, or bringing back someone that has passed away... sorry but those are just stupid when people say them in general, not you personally. We see things differently, you do, i do, everyone else does. Temporary happiness just means it wasn't important or you didn't really want it that much. You talk about a pc, i bought a pc 7 years ago and to this day it still makes me happy. I'm happy to have it, i'm happy that it still works, and i'm happy i spent the money on it. If i didn't have the money i had back then, i would have some crappy pc that would have broken down 4 years ago. Thus being temporary. I bought a watch that i liked, and everyday when i take it on i feel a bit of happiness. Not to be rude but my attention span is enormous, my patience is insane. That might be why i am still happy many many years after spending (investing) my money on something material. Anyways enough with my boring stuff. Just remember that even though you and me might really like bikes you probably hate something else that i like, and same goes the other way. I will care about things that you don't care about, and same for you. Whatever floats your boat ;) Are you happy with your life? Sounds like you are and that's good. But do you think you would be happy if you had nothing of what you have now? cough cough having no money? Yeah i'm sure you could find other things to make you happy then... like getting a free tent so you didn't have to sleep under a bridge. Getting donated some money so you could buy some food. Oh money, what a surprise ;) You would be happy if you saw a puppy or kitten and it became your friend. But saying that money doesn't, or only temporarely buys happiness... that to me probably means you spent the money on things you didn't actually want. Maybe you bought them because others had them and they were happy so you thought it would work for you also. I've done it. And i learned from it. I don't buy useless crap, and i don't make "spontaneous" buys. I think a lot, "is this really what i want" And most of the time my answer is no, but when it's yes, it has almost always been true. Damn a long message, sorry, and no hard feelings if you don't read it :) Cheers! Remember, something that makes you happy might not make me happy. Something that makes you happy for the rest of your life, might not make me happy for the rest of mine. I still haven't seen any one that had nothing and no money be happy. @@crispy-k About the pc thing. At least for me, I appreciate my pc I bought 6 years ago more, cause I actually worked hard for it. I went to work every day and saved for it once I had enough money to buy it. If I was rich I could have bought it right away like " that's it " and that was also my point. I wouldn't have appreciated it as much as I do now. I know I worked hard for it, I earned it, that's what makes me appreciate and enjoy using / playing games with it. If I had all the money in the world it wouldn't mean that much for me since I could just buy a new one w/e I would want to. If you actually worked hard for something you really wanna get and you earned, achieved it, then I can see the " money makes you happier " thing a bit. But it's not the money which makes you happier there. It's the fact that you know you worked hard to get it, and now you finally have it. As some people say " money isn't everything, but it helps with everything " I don't fully agree with that either. As I said earlier, there is some things that won't be affected even if you had / spent millions of dollars for / in them. Anyway. I get your point as well. As you said, everyone has their " own opinion " and see things differently which is true. I'm just giving my point of view here.
