Somehow I turned waiting on The Lord into religious striving, like every other Spiritual practice / discipline. Jesus help. Help me rest and simply find You without constantly working and fighting and struggling.

Brother in Christ... I too wanted anything to confirm I am right w/ the LORD. That I just missed it when IT SIMPLY IS GRACE ,His Blood that frees me from struggling and struggling to get to Him. To believe Jesus Christ finished it all on the Cross.

I have been receiving so many revelations since I started honoring God for them by writing them down, and this was my very first one (I hope it blesses you):
“Lord, I repent of striving. Help me to do so no longer. You are the God of Glory, and you have purified me from all unrighteousness forever so that I can shine your glory into the world for the Kingdom! It is you who purifies, sanctifies, and justifies apart from anything I could possibly do.”
Oh, here’s another one, it was number fifty:
“REMEMBER THUS! When you are afraid that you are falling out of connection with God, when you are white-knuckling it, let go - you feel like you can’t do it, and that’s because you CAN’T. I have never seen this man before in my life. His teachings are so simple, but so powerful. Often times when I get silent before God I feel myself not in myself and then I wake up lol. God always gives me rest when I’m silent. I feel like I must admit and say so much, but the beauty I found in his presence is not saying much at all.

Amen!! Isn't it beautiful?! This past year the Lord answered me when I asked him, how do I go deeper in your presence, in you, Lord? The Lord led me to Fresh Oil with Chris Garcia then through him, I discovered Eric Gilmour and its been amazing. Now it's time for discipline to just be still. In being still in the Lord He has given me more hunger of him, a great desire for His word, wisdom that I lacked (still need) but oh what a blessing!
I realized one thing, Knowing that the enemy is a copycat, a counterfeit, I realize why yoga came into place in this world and I rebuke it in Jesus name. It is a counterfeit of the stillness we need to be in the presence of God, our creator.
Lord Jesus, to you be all the glory.
"Let your life be a constant retreat to a Quiet Place." This is what I pray for all of us who seek to put away the life of works, that we allow God to love us. Thank you Eric for this drink of water I didn't even know I needed.
Without works, your faith is dead (James 2:14.) God requires obedience, and that means an external display of devotion others can see. Jesus said this over and over and over and over again.
4 Now to the one who works, wages are not credited as a gift but as an obligation. 5 However, to the one who does not work but trusts God who justifies the ungodly, their faith is credited as righteousness. Romans 4.
Obedience isn't "works". It's obedience. By works I'm referring to those things we do in our flesh, thinking they will "score brownie points" with God and make others see how righteous we are. Obedience should follow a life truly lived for God. It isn't works though. It's a humble following of God because we know He loves us. That life can't be hidden.
You don’t Need to ask for money ,God said He would supply all your needs. He owns it all. So make your needs known to Him and Him alone then watch what He will do if it’s according to His plan.
And He supplies through people. For the workman is worthy of his hire.
this is the hardest thing I've struggled with. His supply of my needs.
There is nothing wrong with asking to sow into your ministry,of course it has to be in balance and not under compulsion.Its biblical brother.
The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. What a beautiful and deep message, you are close to the best of contemplative prayer. Many, including myself, cannot achieve such stillness or quietness of spirit. Our hearts are simply not at our own disposal. We need the Spirit to pull us up, but then we fall back down hard again and suffer devastating attacks. This is all very discouraging, and makes prayer seem not only futile, but even self-defeating. Lord, save us from the world and from ourselves, we are too weak to approach you in this life, and we are greatly vulnerable to destruction from the demonic realm. . Grant us your strength and your hope or we have no chance to be saved. And forgive us for our utter incapacity and failure.

I've been asking God "what do you want me to learn? What shall I do?" I also received these verses about being silent before God and sought out a video to understand how to be silent before the Lord. Also another wonderful verse that brought me to my knees was: Isaiah 30:15 "In repentance and rest is your salvation, in quietness and trust is your strength, but you would have none of it"
God has been trying to draw me close to Him, by allowing me to reap the consequences of not taking care of my health. Instead of drawing close to Him I have been fighting to take back my health in my own strength. It's absolutely AMAZING how He works in our lives.

God reminded me exactly these same 3 verses earlier today while reading the Bible: Zechariah.2:13, Habakuk.2:20, Zephaniah.1:7. Especially the Zephaniah hit me and how it applies to preparing to the great day of the LORD. And now I opened your video. Sobering! "Be silent in the presence of the Lord GOD; For the day of the LORD is at hand." (Zeph.1:7, NKJV)

I don't know why, but the short prayer at the very end of the video shut down everything in me and my spirit RESTED for once. I didn't want to open my eyes at all once it started. I know the Holy Spirit came and sat peace directly on me so I would just...stop. I wrestle with restlessness and am dog tired of not being able to relax. The prayer ending the video literally came through the phone and knocked me out. The K.O. lasted for maybe 30 seconds and continued into the next video starting but I just did not want to lose the sweetness of rest. I need it so badly during this time in my life and I don't know where I picked up this really restless thing in my spirit but I'm desiring for God to help me more in this area to receive His rest, and to receive Him and I know He is faithful to restore!!! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ Thank you, Jesus!!!! :'(

Thanks for taking the time to do these videos brother. I have 6 year old and a 15 year old sons home 24/7 and it is literally LOUD all day long....I HATE that my time to give to Christ is only at night..I feel like I'm limiting my mighty God and it hurts my heart. I LONG LONG LONG to have silence all day to sit at His feet. YESHUA!!!
I'm home with 3 kids & working. He knows exactly what we're going though, you cannot limit Him. God has led me to do these things but I can only do them through Christ who gives me strength.
*Believe that you are always in His presence
*Sing spontaneously throughout the day (may feel awkward at first)
*Grab anytime alone with Him you can, in the bathroom, laundry room closet
*Head phones with worship music as much as possible
*Do everything with Him in mind as if you are doing it for Jesus; Laundry, dishes, listening & loving your children
*Say to Him "I'm listening, what do you want to say?" believe that He will tell you something even if it doesn't feel like an answer
When I try to do it on my strength I'm frustrated and I fail. But when I rely on and put my hope in Jesus he carries me through the day in a lovely cloud of grace. Don't forget "He gently leads those that have young." Isaiah 40:11. Also, enjoy the longing for Him because that's sweet too. One day you will get to sit at His feet for eternity. ❤️
I let my life be a constant retreat to a quiet place to collect your thoughts and let them go to the Lord.

For a while, I would take time to pray in the afternoon and fall asleep on my chair and always woke up at the exact time I needed to pick my kids up from school.
I was never in the habit of sleeping during daylight hours. I think the Lord was knocking me out.
