Question….. What was the slow release fertilizer you use in your greenstalk? You showed in one of your videos. Can you link the video also if possible? Tyvm!
I use many different types, whatever is on sale. Most of them contain composted chicken manure and I think that is the best additive for organic gardening, so look for that on the label.
My green beans and snap peas didnt germinate either. I trued several seed brands. Not sure what the problem was.
If t occurred with two different beans/peas types, you may need to inoculate your soil.
One of my GreenStalks is the 7 tier leaf and I think I may do what you did and fill with scallions. How long did they take to get that size, and when did you plant them?
I think I started 1 o2 tiers indoors in January and I direct sowed the rest in the spring, probably March. I'd have to go back through my video to see for sure, but that is usually how I plant them every year. Happy Gardening!
Sadly, I missed the boat on planting all of my sweet potato slips this year! May I ask when is the best time to get them into the ground here in San Antonio? 😃
I'm not sure for your area. But I start my slips in the winter and plant out 2 weeks after my last frost date.
