i have been looking this video every day so that it helped to my exams that was held yesterday i wish u would do so good while making these videos and i will like if u make more videos but it need to be about maths
when i first tried rounding in calculation when i was multiplying i tried to round both and got this 519 * 94 rounded to (520 * 95)+((94-95)*519)+((519-520)*94) that is equal to 58787 BUT the calculator says that 519 * 94 is 58786 wich is also correct so what is going on?
Here hes rounding the entire number. For 19, itd be 15,16,17,18,19 rounds to 20. 14,13,12,11 rounds to 10. For 186, anything 185-189 rounds to 190. 184-181 rounds to 180.
Because we want a fraction to be more simpler to solve, so we'll see first that with which same number the both numbers (numerator and denominator) 140/150 are dividing and they can be divided by 10, which makes the fraction 14/15. So, basically, 14/15 and 140/150 are equal...You can calculate and tell...
To simplify a fraction you have to list the factors, find the greatest common factor, then divide by the greatest common factor. In our case with 140 over 150, the greatest common factor is ten.
Maths can be explained so simple. A lot of maths is explained in a very complex way, making it difficult to grasp. Write things down in your own words to better make understanding of the concept.
Hi! So all he did was round 14.30 down to 14.00 and rounded 18% up to 20 %. 20% of 14.00 is 2.8 and you add that onto 14.00 which is 16.80, this is because we are supposed to add the 18% to 14.30 (the question: £14.30 + 18%) . This is how we got 16.80. If that didn't make sense all he did was find 20% of 14.00 and add that onto 14.00 which was 16.80 :) Hope that helped! (^^)
im screaming because i have my maths test tomorrow and im so grateful i found this channel man you're literally the reason im not going to fail, i wish i found it before my biology test todayy
Hi, as we mention in the audio, we choose to round it up to try and balance out the other rounding we did earlier on. But your right, normally you should round 19.1 to 19 :)

why are we dividing by ten :( (ik i sound stoopid but its an actual question)

Because 140 and 150 are both in the 10 times table. We call these numbers factors of 10
