A ring escape would have some merit. Don't forget, Sonic lost his rings when Knuckles chased him down the mountain. Furthermore, Sonic never got the rings back and Eggman wasn't anywhere to be seen until he nabbed the compass from Tails. There's a chance that when Sonic dropped his rings, Eggman had retrieved them so he could use them himself.
2:29 I don't think that's the Echidna tribe, as it was confirmed in the movie that Knuckles is the last echidna since the attack on the Owl Warriors. Those seem to be scavengers, as stated by Knuckles in the pre-quill comic by IDW. Those scavengers had rings of their own and took Knuckles to a casino world where he would be forced to challenge a giant lobster beast. Upon winning, and possibly earning a bag of rings, he asks the scavengers to help him find Sonic. So my guess is that some of those scavengers survived Robotnik's traps on the Mushroom planet and probably sent him through a ring portal. What for, exactly? I do not know, but it could be for revenge after he set up booby traps on the Mushroom planet.
Actually it makes a lot of sense, since Knuckles was blindly trusting on him at the begining of the movie he problably gave him at least one ring to use in case of an emergency or something This was a really good set up coming from the writers because they can use an excuse like that in Sonic 3 if Jim Carrey comes back to replay his role or it can just be a decent enough ending for Robotnik

It's possible that Robotnik lives by your theory, but I honestly like to think he died. (Not for anything bad but A. Don't want to pressure him into returning, and B. I feel like his arc is kind of complete.) I like the idea that he died and Agent Stone is willing to continue his mission of world domination. Much like how he followed Robotnik's rules in his comic. I feel that now that he "works" for G.U.N. he'll unlock Project Shadow. Create a team with him to collect the choas emeralds (as he may be one of the "few" people that know of them.) And you may be wondering why? He would try to avoid being in another alien and human team. Shadow is created by a Robotnik. Therefore letting Stone let his guard down and trusting his new "friend." My personal thought is that he was crushed by the machine, but his assistant snuck in and rescued him, and the reason why he's going to show up as Fat Eggman in the 3rd movie will be because he's in a robotic life support suit, kinda like Robocop but Fat Eggman.

I was actually predicting that when Eggman was falling from the death egg destruction, he used his gloves to send the egg mobile that was in Siberia and yes it probably would’ve made it there in time, but Eggman has made it out of numerous different scenarios when he almost died.
If Robotnik does not appear in sonic 3 movie, I have a few ideas to go along this theory. 1. He could have done what you said with a singular. 2. He could have travelled back to the mushroom plane with one (unlikely) 3. He could have spare rings and travels the galaxy. If option 3 is correct then he could instead travel the galaxy to prepare a mass take over of a planet(s) (through research either hidden on earth, knowledge he already has, or trial and error). I feel like Agent Stone will sort of step up in Robotnik's absent. The question is where does a mass take over of a planet come into this equation? well If Robotnik is absent from a couple of movies, he will have time to take over planets, setting him up to be a bigger threat, while also giving other villains from the franchise to show up along with characters from the games. As a fan of Sonic SatAM, I would be thrilled if just the roboticizer appears in a later movie, along with the concept of Robotnik taking over a whole planet, and SatAM characters. Mabey that alone could be a good twist, seeing the Freedom Fighters in a Sonic movie. Also you know how cool it would be for the freedom fighters to appear in a separate movie without Sonic in it, Mabey Ixis Naugus could be the main villain in a Freedom Fighters themed movie as a prequel to Robotnik's possible grand return.

I think he just fell on the ground (you know like when he got launched in the sky by the beacon), and he just got back up and went on his Egg Mobile to lab that’s in The Mean Bean Coffee Shop, and started to plan on his next plan, and he probably got the mini Chaos Emeralds that were in the Master Emerald because when knuckles restored the Master Emerald, the mini Chaos Emeralds weren’t there.

This is a very interesting theory! However if this is actually what happened then I don’t know how SEGA and paramount would tackle it. Jim carrey announced on an interview that he may retire from acting which could turn down the possibility of this theory. Also, a bit off topic but I have an idea for content that could boost your subscriber count by lots. Maybe consider learning how to do things like cartoon animation and maybe collab with other UA-camrs for character voice acting (I would highly recommend @Jehtt as he knows loads of good voice actors) because you could have lots of recognition by making cartoon animations! 1. He used the rings and fall through the portal
2. He called in his eggmobile and landed on it and made a quick escape
But The Egg Mobile Was Last Seen In Siberia Where He Took The Compass To The Master Emerald He Must Have Left It in Siberia And Plus Eggman And Knuckles Traveled To Hawaii With Rings And They Were Still In Siberia Because Theres Snow In The Portal So Eggman Left The Egg Mobile and Also Eggman Went To Green Hills To Make The Death Egg Robot But It's possible Eggman Made A Extra Egg Mobile During His Build In The Death Egg Robot Or Eggman Made Like A Parachute Or A

I think he just fell on the ground (you know like when he got launched in the sky by the beacon), and he just got back up and went on his Egg Mobile to lab that’s in The Mean Bean Coffee Shop, and started to plan on his next plan, and he probably got the mini Chaos Emeralds that were in the Master Emerald because when knuckles restored the Master Emerald, the mini Chaos Emeralds weren’t there.

the burn would have hurt then he would have fallen into an explosion and if that somehow didn't kill him falling would.

This is a very interesting theory! However if this is actually what happened then I don’t know how SEGA and paramount would tackle it. Jim carrey announced on an interview that he may retire from acting which could turn down the possibility of this theory. Also, a bit off topic but I have an idea for content that could boost your subscriber count by lots. Maybe consider learning how to do things like cartoon animation and maybe collab with other UA-camrs for character voice acting (I would highly recommend @Jehtt as he knows loads of good voice actors) because you could have lots of recognition by making cartoon animations! Just a little suggestion!
