Same thing happened to me Paul when i went on holiday to Magaluf about 20 years ago. I was fine in England. As soon as i got there i was out of breath. I bought an inhaler over there and i was fine. Got back to England everything was fine so i chucked the inhaler away. I think it’s just the humidity and not being used to the climate and conditions, or possibly anxiety as you say.
I appreciate that Paul explains how difficult that terrain is. I am watching this video after Jay was found. It's July 18th, 2024, and Jay has been found on the 29th day.

It's awesome that you are searching for a Jay slater, and you are not talking to the press. Some people that you can't trust have you tried looking in the cave's and parts where there could be water and ditches. If you are struggling with your breathing over there, Jay would also be tired, hungry thirsty, and won't know where he is. I really hope you find Jay. Who is searching for Jay? You're at the peak of health in your early thirties. I'm 63 and that's when you get tired although when I was 30 I thought I was knackered. But oh no, not really. Keep pushing!
I think one of the really bad aspects of this is no one seems to have come forward with an explanation of what Jay actually took that night. I mean experts would be able to say how far he would be capable of going given age, fitness, hydration levels, what he took etc etc. It's hard to avoid a conclusion that dehydration would have got Jay pretty quickly, heatstroke too. I think it would be surprising if he had longer than six hours unless he got some water.
Looked like ketamine to me... the pic of him leaning back is what ppl call a "ket lean" cocaine mixed with drink would sober ya up.. ket doesn't do that.. itd smash you.... and make you lean back as the paralysis sets in.... drink can also do that though too...!!! . I'm an addict in 6th yr of recovery.
Another thing. Problems are our friends. Focus on the positives and do not focus on the negatives. You are a mountain goat charging up the hill and you cannot be stopped. Now, repeat that mantra in your head ten times and do not let another thought enter your head. Heat, skin problems, trouble with technology, your feet. No. Enough. Don't pass the buck. Just report what you are doing and why you are doing it. You can qualify it with 'a tricky ravine' or 'the sun is fierce' but do not make an excuse out of that situation. Problems are our friends. Remember that if a situation is challenging for you, you need to know how to resolve it. People love a good excuse so never let them have the chance for you to give them one. Just fight for your own corner.
They should of had some thing to mark the areas like plastic numbers pegged in the ground would of helped with knowing where everyone looked if everyone had a different colour number so then everyone would know who searched where and no1 else would go missing as they find the trail where that persons gone .family must be so appreciative nice that few people are still searching may god guide u to where he is and protect u all amen
A theory is jays phone may have been thrown , so where it last pinged and the terrain is difficult and full of cactus etc , wouldn’t a metal detector be a good tool to use in undergrowth etc , just a thought
Please can you look by the farm near masca, apparently a couple is holding him for ransom but he’s being fed and watered. All the suggestions people have suggested is worth a look. Like previous there was a ransom note, Really hope he’s found

Interviewed many different locals at their homes, to see if he has been kidnapped and awaiting a pick-up? what if he was diorientated from the time he left the club, because he was given something or from the cigerette given to him at the Airbnb? I sense the dissappearence was around nine am. (There has been only speculation about this Rolex and no direct evidence to even say this is in any way linked to Jay.) Did he have cash or card on him to buy water, why not ask for a glass of water at the café? I agree the phone could have been chucked... ) Has the roof or ceiling been checked of the AirBnb. What if he asked the wrong person for a lift and then ran down there for safety and chucked the phone and it was fetched out the bush and Jay placed into a car, like a kidnap situation? Why if there have been so many dissappearences -Have they not put more cameras along the walkways and areas. This is why this case needs to get so much attention, perhaps its what his soul was supposed to do is draw people's awareness too this. Can the police not continue to rent out the specialized drones to the family to help with the daily search. Has the North of the mountain been searched - the higher up. Have they gone out to see to search? How does a yacht's radar just dissappear? Whats to say that he hasn't been taken to some other nearby island... Why would someone want a young boy? Have the exisiting camera's and webcam footage been checked, there must be recordings???? - on the day. What if he is being hidden in Cristianos. (Before I knew anything about this case, I woke up having a dream of being at some wierd place and shouted my name is Cristannos... Two days later this story appears in the news and what do I see on the map, the same name! Wierd or coincidence) I did a shamanic journey and Jay said; 'Tell my dad I'm sorry' I pray for him and send him healing everyday. So sad for this boy.
Can you speak to Christopher. His last video he put up he seemed very stressed and traumatised. He has now taken himself off Tik Tok aswell. Hope he is ok.
Get the drones audit guys over n get the thermal vision on n look for groups of wildlife where they go around n search there n use ur gopro defo n you need a stick 🦯
Could you get some musin or tea towel and slip it under your hat but draped over the back of your neck and shoulders so it stops you burning? Your neck looks red.
I appreciate all the hard work i heard you been putting in,however i really dont believe jay is anywhere on that mountain region ,and as a searcher you must feel as an experiened mountaineer jay did not go down there .

I agree. When I first watched his vids I thought he was a really nice guy and an expert rock climber and search and rescue volunteer but after watching some of his older vids he just comes across as a hiker who camps out but is a fussy eater and never makes a proper camp fire. I don't even want to comment on his search for Jay. I suppose he's doing more than us.

Maybe it’s the dust and wind in the air with it being a windy island, or possible chest infection with from the dust. Stay safe

Can you make your way to where the stone is with the graffiti on and look around that part. I'm sure there's a long fall around there or water ?

You will be out of breath because of how high up the mountains you are. That’s what happens… it’s called altitude sickness
