We just bought ours on 6/30 and are thrilled with it. Many great features and we love the floor plan and all the windows across the back. Plus the dinette is big enough to handle all five grandchildren.
Just bought this two days ago. We looked at over 100 floor plans until we decided this was the one. Hits: extended kitchen counter where the TV cabinet is normally found, large U-shaped dinette and tri-fold two person couch in a 25-foot model, new white decor, OTG solar system, and king sized bed. Misses: the refrigerator in the slide means that the hoses must extend outward when the slide is extended and the hoses are easily kinked in the slide when closing it. We were also disappointed to learn that this model does not have auto-levelers despite some information out there indicating otherwise. But overall, this travel trailer gets 4.5/5 stars for us.
Let me first say that Ian you are by far our favorite presenter. My wife and I love watching RV video's, dreaming about owning one of these in the future, and Ian your are the best. Our pros on this RV - 1) having the dining area and lounge chairs not both being in the slide we love, as it creates a feeling of more space. 2) All the counter space uniquely placed in the kitchen was great. 3) 2 access doors with the slide in having access is a great asset. 4) 2inch hitch for a bike rack in the rear is a great touch. 5) the style of light wood was very nice. Our cons 1) power stabilizer jack controls accessible on the sides of the RV 2) not sure about the storage under the bed and dinette as we didn't see that. 3) a toilet paper holder is always an inexpensive plus too.
Todd, thank you so much for the kind words! RV shopping is all about separating your needs from your wants and weighing out the pro's vs con's. Sounds like you're well on your way to finding the right RV for you and your wife!! -Ian Baker
Great decor and layout - we love it, especially the spacious kitchen and rear dinette with panoramic window views! I have several disappointments - a king bed really does not fit in a 96" wide trailer without a bedroom slide-out. And, it's not even a real king at 70" wide. A full size queen would leave more walk-around room and be much more accessible. There is also an obstruction on the left side of the bed due to the water docking station outside - you can't walk on that side of the bed to reach the closets etc. The exterior pass-through storage is less than adequate and is impeded on the left with the water heater and water docking station - a very small door on that side also. Over all, a lot of great features, with just a few tweaks it would be unbeatable.
Bought the 25RDS and immediately took out the king bed. Converted to two extra long twins with storage under both and nightstand at the head. NOW IT'S PERFECT for us. This us our second Keystone. They are well built. Great review. Thanks. Be sure to mention the dry and tongue weight on reviews.
I’d prefer a queen bed to have more room for walking. Also under bed storage with draws would be great. I’d also eliminate the dining area and make it a 25’-26’ trailer. Maybe a Murphy style couch/bed in the rear.

Comment small Out door kitchen in the back. Swing out grill on bumper. I am purchasing a 22 model we love the floor plan but it would be killer to have an out door kitchen set up of sorts. Nothing crazy
Great review Ian on the 25RDS, very informative. Would love to see a wardrobe slide in the bedroom (like the Rockwood), another bedroom window by the door for cross ventilation, bring back the clothes hamper drop into the cargo hold and full opening rear slide windows by the dining table. Beautiful trailer though - we’re considering upgrading to it from a 2016 Cougar 21rbs.
Very few if any 1/2 tons are sufficient to tow this trailer. 1,000 lb tongue weight without batteries, propane or EQ hitch!!!! 2 6 volt batteries - 130 lbs 2 30 pound propane tanks 80 pounds EQ hitch is 75 lbs Add 285 lbs 1285 lbs then add passengers and cargo in the truck. Always check the cargo capacity listed on the sticker inside the drivers door. Some 1/2 ton Rams cargo capacity is only 955 lbs.
Hi Gary! Tucker Ballister here. I complete agree and always advise that your towing capacity will be wholly dependent on your truck make, model, and trim. Many folks will find value in using our Towing Guide to determine what their vehicle can tow safely: rv.campingworld.com/towguide
Fridge handle on wrong side.. hard to get a drink from the couch :-). Also bathroom use while closed up is helpful for families pulling over to allow kids to use bathroom. Great 5th wheel

Keystone does have beautiful windows ❤️ and normal woodwork not black ugh do they still have fabric furniture I don’t like brown. My windows never leaked in 14 years like some junky trailers people I know have had. My roof never leaked either.
Kristy, great question! Unfortunately, it does not. Auto-level for the Cougar Half-Ton travel trailers starts on the 26RBS and larger units. The 22MLS, 22RBS and 25RDS do not have the auto-level option. Thanks for watching and for the question! -Ian Baker
The theatre seating option would take the place of the tri-fold sleeper sofa! You can reach out to your local Camping World or Gander RV to learn more!
We weren't sure about it at first either, but now we like the idea, and we just bought one! A lot of trailers have a hallway past the bathroom - hallways are wasted space. The pass-through bath is very efficient use of space, and makes it very spacious. Guests in the back have access and guests in the bedroom have access. We think it will be great for a couple.
I hear ya! Although I think it would be a pretty tight squeeze for two people standing shoulder to shoulder. It certainly offers a lot of space for bathroom necessities though! -Ian Baker
Maybe... maybe not! Great trucks! I’d trust a Tundra more than any USA brand to tow this. I have experienced the joys of a Ford F-250 going into limp mode on a trip, and going 500 miles at 30 mph. 😁
This will be no problem for any Tundra with a 5.7 liter V8. Unloaded weight of the trailer is 6200 lbs - add 1000 to 1500 lbs of cargo and you are still under the Tundra towing capacity of 8800 lbs for a crewcab with 5.7 liter V8. With a properly setup weight transfer hitch - two-thirds of the 835 lb hitch weight will be on the vehicle (about 560 lbs) This is well under the typical payload of a crewcab which is usually about 1200 lbs, even with a couple of people and some other cargo. So, as I said - no problem, I will be towing mine with a Tundra!
This will be no problem for any full size pickup. Unloaded weight of the trailer is 6200 lbs - add 1000 to 1500 lbs of cargo and you are still under the typical towing capacity 8-10000 lbs for half ton pickups. With a properly setup weight transfer hitch - two-thirds of the 800 Lb hitch weight will be on the vehicle (about 530 lbs) This is well under the typical payload of a half ton which is usually about 1200 lbs minimum, and more often in the 1700 lb range. So, as I said - no problem, I will be towing mine with a half-ton!
I totally agree. This is firmly in 3/4 ton territory. Can a half ton pull it? Yes. But most half tons don't have the payload capacity for a trailer this size. For short distances on level ground you can get away with it, but doing any extensive towing with a half ton will wear it out in short order.
I would be most concerned about the brakes on a half ton. I tow mine with a crew cab dually f350 pickup. Overkill, maybe. But it sure tows nice and I’m not using a weight transfer hitch.
Cougar hits a home run w this one!
Sure did. Going to check this one out.
Love this. I would love a 12v frig.
Very well made. Miss having outdoor kitchen
We bought ours last Saturday...picking it up Friday!
What are you towing it with?
How do you like it?
We just bought ours on 6/30 and are thrilled with it. Many great features and we love the floor plan and all the windows across the back. Plus the dinette is big enough to handle all five grandchildren.
That's awesome to hear Mary! Let us know if you need any assistance with anything!
I love the big window in back with the dinner table there how nice
I too would like to have an area to hang a few clothes. I love the movable table. It could also be used as an island for food prep.
I like the fire exit in the bedroom I’m too old to climb out the window
What's the msrp? Can y'all put in an outdoor kitchen? Love it! Its perfect otherwise
Just bought this two days ago. We looked at over 100 floor plans until we decided this was the one. I’m going to wait to buy a new trailer until fabric and color besides black and brown are available

Very nice 👍🏾, one thing I don’t like is that 2way refrigerator in the side out..
Why? It’s accessible with the slide closed.
I believe that it is a 12 volt fridge only.
I think I like keystone that was my last trailer also.
How much does this make and model go for? And where is it located?
Hey there! PM us so we can go over your options!
Fridge handle on wrong side.. hard to get a drink from the couch :-). Also bathroom use while closed up is helpful for families pulling over to allow kids to use bathroom. Great 5th wheel
The bathroom is easily accessible from the bedroom, which has its own outside door.
And you should be able to control the pump with the phone app so that you don’t have to open up the rear door.
Can the powered stabilizer jacks be upgraded to the "auto-leveling" system like the Cougar Half-Ton 26RBS has?
What is the price on this between 30 and 40000

Where and how big is the hot water heater? Is the fridge electric and gas?
It looks like the typical six gallon heater found in virtually every trailer in this size.
How do I get the chairs to recline!??? The cable doesn’t move when I pull it

Does it have a back up camera ?
If not could you get 1 installed ?
It is prepped for backup camera.
I hate when they jam the sink against the stove. My fav are the sinks on an angle right at the door
What’s the dry weight ????
Do you know if this one comes with auto-leveling? Thanks!!

The battery rack has plenty of room for a two battery box.
I installed two group 27 batteries on my unit.

The other trailer I liked was a lance
I really liked the Lance as well but a comparable trailer was $17000 more. Happy with my Cougar.
Don’t buy one with an awning short by the door.If it’s raining you’ll get soaked going in and out.I have one and they are a poor design.
