Overall, the Tesla is NOT cheaper to operate!
And an oil change, if I do it myself, costs 60 dollars per year on the Corolla. That is dirt cheap.
Remember, 100 million people in America rent, instead of owning their own homes. Teslas are *not* *practical* unless you can charge them at home in your garage.
I don't know how that came up to 7500 .I thought the standard rebate was 2 k for California which I got for a March buy. I know they canceled the rebates in November . As far as I know the Fed 7500 still exists.
the full 7500 from the state is for lower income people, i got 2000 back from CVRP and 7500 back from federal
I purchased my 2023 Tesla Model Y long range in March 2023 in California. I got my $2,000 rebate from the state just fine, taking a couple of months. When I file my income taxes soon, I'll get back the $7,500 for Federal rebate. 12,000 miles on mine so far.
Yay California keeping that screw up streak alive!!!
Fools trusting the government LOL. He should "Procure" a normal car instead. But he voted for all this and is just going along with doing as he is told. Sheeple.
So...the guy didn't get a box of free money given to him by the taxpayers so he could "procure" a new Tesla. Gollly. Not sure I'll be able to sleep now.
Funded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB) and administered statewide by the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE). Who do you think funds them? California Tax dollars!!! If you can afford a Tesla, you don't need a rebate!
Just got a new f350 dually. Its getting built in april. Ill buy an ev in 10 years when it isnt bullshit
DIESEL vehicles begin BANS in 2026 in Some states.
Well, if you purchase a vehicle because you were hoping to get a $7500 credit, I think you shouldn’t of bought the vehicle😂🎉😅
Fools world
Tesla should be responsible for the cancellation of his rebate. Tesla processed the purchase after midnight, had they processed it timely the rebate would not have been denied.
Tax payers paying for some computer dork to have a 70k car is just silly. We should not be paying for poor built luxury cars cmon . The rebate was meant for folks who couldnt afford a ev commuter car not some yuppie that wants a 2nd and 3rd car. We should be ashamed were funding silly crap like this
The amount of paperwork you need to send in sounds like a nightmare. This is ending up to be alike Spirit Airline bonding pass where you can get cancelled for anything.
its not, it took me 5 minutes
A whole news segment for the incompetence of this man looking for a handout. *shit much be submitted AFTER the purchase... * read the damn directions and stop whining.
There should be no rebate incentives for anybody purchasing an EV who can obviously afford them in the first place. Another example of privileged greed.
As Newsome said, "its part of the sausage making process"😂😂😂
All those rebates are tax payer money anyway. Wait until all the HOV lane, federal benefits are gone, then these people will switch back to gasoline car immediately. At least this person still can have fun with his Tesla. Don't be upset!
If you are counting on a 7500 dollar government subsidy so you can afford a car that will lost value at an accelerated rate compared to other gasoline powered cars, you're just not thinking ahead
He should've made sure it was all done I mean the man had all his paper work but didn't double check to make sure Tesla had things done on their end. 🤦🏽♀
The state then screwed up worse because they didn't let the man know.
and now he can't afford a car that will lose 65% of it's value in 3 years...oh, and wait till he can't find a working charging station😭😅🤪
Um, the 7500.. is an IRS credit. Has nothing to do with the state….
if you quality, the state program (CVRP) will refund you up to 7500 based on your income, in addition to the 7500 you get from federal. I got 2000 back from CVRP, and 7500 back from the state
Don't yall see that the whole "buy an electric vehicle" initiative is a scam? PG&E keeps raising rates.
I'm sure the same people complain about people collecting welfare too and I don't see this as any different.
You buy Tesla and Musk gets a bulk of the profit and not the company itself. Buyers be aware.
Go buy a cheaper decent model. Don't complain if you can afford Tesla , then you can afford any other decent brand car of the same or better size and options for much cheaper price.
They should just make it a tax credit. That way They don’t have to send out checks.
Rich people made the government isn't giving them money is crazy.
Oh no someone's $80k doesn't get a rebate.
Oh that’s right, if you buy expensive things you deserve to be cheated. Only poor people deserve fairness
Sounds like someone needs to Read The Directions. How is that astonishing!?
Model 3 is about 50k, not 80.
This happened to me, but a person reached out to me via email to resubmit my application. Ended up getting approved and got my tax credit
Electric vehicles are not cheap to maintain
my 2020 model 3 cost $0 to maintain for 3 years.
All of my maintenance cost was replacing tires. That's it.
@@markplott4820 new tires and paint chips count as maintenance.
There's no maintainance... They do have high insurance rates and high body repair costs.
@@FinalVibes And VERY high cost when the battery pack is eventually replaced. about 20,000 USD !
Virtue signaling isn’t cheap
there is money for more tax breaks evidently. Elon could fund this one you know. and still be really rich.
The date on the check was one day too soon and screwed up the automated date checking software.
Shouldn't be given tax payer's money to the car companies. Ever hear of free enterprise?
I only got back$ 3,500 when I did my taxes on March 10th 2024
This is like going to Little Caesars on "Free Pizza Day" You know that shits gonna run out by the time you get there lol
Hilarious! I will stick with my gas engine vehicle. It’s still cheaper than owning an electric car.
no range anxiety either or some Karen unplugging your car because they ran out of her favorite box wine at Target.
FALSE, BEV are 80% less to Maintain. and ZERO fuel to buy.
@@markplott4820 EVs are less to maintain, but cost more to purchase. Also more money on tires. Also more money on insurance and registration fees. EV owners feel kind of dumb once they realize all that.
Tesla owners think it’s like drinking a cool aid but in the end it’s Musk’s piss what they drank.
@@curvetrcalinga - TESLA , just makes the SUPERIOR car, FACTS.
Even if he got the rebate, it ain't worth it. Tesla vehicles been known to have tons of problems from leaking roofs to doors not closing properly. Build quality is a complete gamble, if you're lucky, nothing is wrong when you buy it. But in the end, you still need to worry about battery dying after warranty and spending a fortune to replace it.
Also, even if you have a good experience with the car the depreciation is brutal.
I've never heard of this. They just give you a credit on your income tax. They don't have money or send you money.
screw them all they're whining because we didn't get to help buy his car for him with my taxes
Total bullshit
O m g I thought the world is only worry about you for being 1 day late then too bad so sad, but this one sounds like a 1 day too soon scam lol
I hate these rebates. Why are my tax dollars going towards someone else’s expensive electric car?
Why the hell are tax dollars going for these junk landfill toys?
who did he vote for? He aint gettin no reparayshuns!
VOTING is a SCAM.
This man should blame himself for not reading the instruction carefully
Model 3 costs about $45k. After $7500 federal tax rebate and $7500 CA cash rebate, model 3 final price is $30k. It’s about the price of Camry or Accord. Yet many gas loving dummies don’t know that.
Did the government get tired of installing chargers? I hardly see any new ones here in ATL
this is what happens when gvt gets involved in anything . needless waste lost $ lost paperwork... less regs, less gov MORE accountability
Why don't we just stop treating purchasing EV as special thing ? Why don't we live just as it was. We don't have to mess up good things .
because the world will run out of petrol in 40 years
So was this a state problem or a Tesla problem for not informing him? That would be in line with Tesla's behavior in this state. Dont buy a Tesla.
it was his own fault, he could have easily checked his application status on the CVRP website. You cannot submit the application before your sale date because that is fraudulent
Ha ha! Taxpayers really don't care to fund your overpriced cars.
Never mind. At least he can take comfort in the fact that he is saving the planet. Right?
Contact ELON MUSK... NOT HIS FALSE B3CAUSE THE SALESMAN DID NOT FOLLOW THROUGH WITH THE SALES
This rebate brought to you by the same people that want to run your health care so good luck .
Can I write these cars off on my taxes this year since I had to pay for the money used in the rebates?
You not alone i got denied too. Because I didn't filled out the document correctly..
