- Raul Amador takes a closer look at the Cort Elrick NJS 5 Bass.
Spoke with Rob Elrick, and he had a few clarifications:
Elrick has again partnered with Cort to mark the 30th anniversary of Elrick Bass Guitars, not the 30th anniversary of Cort.
The preamp also includes an active/passive function and a mid-frequency selector. Both functions are accessed by push/pull potentiometers on the volume and mid-frequency controls respectively.
The bass comes with a gig bag, not a hard case.

Great Video! Can you tell if the Treble Knob also works in Passive mode?

Glad you liked this video. I did miss talking about the passive mode. It uses a push/pull knob and I think the tone knobs function in passive the same as in active. I did not put it to the test so I am sure that the nice folks at Cort Guitars can shed some light on this feature. Thanks for watching and for your input! It does not work. Only you can switch between the bridge and neck pickup, no tone variariation on the passive mode.
Is that noise from the preamp coz it’s annoying

Is it a three piece neck with a separate piece of maple for the fingerboard?
