Another Just a friendly word of advice. I make my own just like those, but milled a flat on each side so I can put the part in a vise, and I use my part that slips over the carriage end to drill thru, keeps every thing straight. And if you need to do another one , get it all set with good allen wrenches and heat the outside of the die a bit when you start to tighten the cap screw, sometimes they almost fall out, Good job
Какие лыски ещё и станок фрезерный?????? Ещё собаку, бабку, дочку, внучку. Две гайки конрагаите на матрице и зажимайте в тиски или держите ключем, зачем огород городить
You did fine. Just a friendly word fo advice; mount that die to something level and true (like your press). You don't want that tap to get in there and then get IT stuck. Machine shop 101... Thanks for sharing, though. Seems like the tool is handy and will do the job quick enough.
You may want to consider filming it over again. I found it frustrating that you kept going out of frame during various critical procedures. Thanks for the effort though.
Yeah just got mine today because I got a piece of 223 brass stuck. So as I’m trying to remove the tap screw the tap breaks off and I’m still stuck with a blocked sizing due😡
Lance Collins I agree that I do need a vise. I do agree it was maybe a little dangerous but I need to get that case unstuck so I could finish resizing the rest of them.

you don't need a vice, screw the die upside down in your press with the stuck case facing the ceiling........or get a vice,
I bought a vice I do know the way I was doing it was wrong.

Vice grips work very well. Out in a few seconds lol.
not always.... I know
It's a 1/4-20 tpi NC bolt/tap. I had broken my tap years ago, Amazon for replacements
That's why we have emergency room
Yes well now I have a vise to hold it.

Thanks I will film it over again and post it.

Drilling that way is an accident waiting to happen.
youre dangerous! you need a vice if you are gonna be using a drill!

I've drilled into my hand before. Its not fun.
Thats kinda crappy holding die in hand and drill. Not just unsafe. But not really precision work.Hope you reload with more precision.
