I just love Madame Alexander dolls , my mother use to take me shopping and we would go to the baby shop at the mall in Evansville Indiana while my mother looked around my sister and I would go upstairs just to look at all the Madame Alexander dolls and I would dream of getting one for my birthday or maybe one for my Christmas ,and then when Christmas came I received one for Christmas and it was a lovely bride doll , I wish I still had her ,that was back in 1976 when I got her . Back then she was expensive.

Judy looked her most beautiful in Meet Me In St.Louis, so it's not surprising this doll honored her at that time. The wedding costumes, even the engagement rings! Wow. And the movie industry had the best clothing/gown designers in the 40's. Sometimes the gowns alone were worth watching movies at that time, not to mention the jewelry.
