Watching the TOP 20 on UA-cam, I saw an advertisement of UNHCR, which reminded me again, that there are so many people in the world, who are in a far worse situation. Who do not care so much about last year as a year without parties, but about what COVID also did to the vulnerable people in the world, their children, their families. It is a coincidence, but listening to the awesome music, it is important to not forget the people who probably will never have the opportunity to even think about having missed a festival. Merry Christmas and a better new year to everybody.

NOW THIS WAS A REAL TRANCE COUNTDOWN. Armin all the songs you kept saying "i dont know why this one or this one didnt make the list!" Because most of them are not the trance sound! They have tones of other genres in it, I cant count how many goosebumps I got listening to this countdown and some happy tears. That is real trance. This was the best countdown ive heard in years so thank you to the people for finding the sound that has been missed from this genre!!!!

No.40 Ilan Bluestone remix of "Out Of The Blue" is incredible, such a iconic trance tune for me from my youthful nights of clubbing at G'crasher and Peach ravers nights. So many great memories. Agree with other comments here that Will Atkinson "Rush" deserves top 50 credit, crazy that it didn't! Armin and Ruben, you guys are the best keep it up for 2021. Can't wait for ASOT 1000.

Every year I come back to ASOT Top 50 to look for some uplifting vocal trance bangers. Uplifting or not I found "The sound of letting go" this year. Damn I would've voted for that song if I've heard it before.
