So psyched! Will probably get them all, especially if they are at the level of the recent Speed Champion McLaren set. Not really playable, but sufiiciently detailed for a nice spot on the display. Can't wait for a full grid!
I’m glad that they are doing something for the F1 fans, but I will definitely not be getting them myself, especially with the price of lego being so high now.
One thing's for certain - there's going to be a LOT of stickers. Plenty of time to find the magnifying desk lamp. Guessing around $300 for 2601 pieces? Count this fan in for all 10. Thanks for posting.
I buy every speed champions set. I’m also a F1 fan and watch every race. The popularity has grown in the US over the last few years. I think that it will be a success. Thanks 🎸🔪
Buy what you love! Reality is, as someone else mentioned that the full grid will be very similar looking looking except for the color schemes and stickers.
I prefer the normal speed champions, but I’m not complaining too much. I already have the AM and McLaren from 2024, so I most likely won’t get those, I might get the Red Bull and kick cars, maybe the Mercedes too, but prolly none of the others
There will be a lot of similarities between the sets. Go for the ones that either you love or that stand out. As someone else commented it would have been great to see a variety of different F1 cars through the ages but I guess licensing could have been an issue.
Personally I think they should have gone with this from the get-go. @VicarOfMayhem posted an awesome comment on this thread covering some legendary cars. I guess it all comes down to licensing
I didn't expect information to come out as early this. *However I knew this 'collaboration' had to come from Lego down the line. With sport, the present moment already has the weight of potential for these collaborations.* As much as I anticipated seeing this. *Having come back to watching F1, after taking a break since end of 2023 season until May 2024.* I can't say I intend on getting any atm. When I already intend on getting the Aston Martin 2 pack currently on shelves, as well as the McLaren, I feel that might just still be enough for me. Although it's to accept the cars will be officially marked as 2025. Thus I might wait until this series comes out. AND WITHOUT EXCEPTIONS TO MINIFIGURES, make my decision then. Or perhaps I might purchase these 2 current F1-based speed champions sets. Relative to good enough discounts. And wait until March 2025 to make the irreversible decision :) Either way, my Speed Champions range of Lego sets remains mostly not F1 based!
@@DarthCoco there will be some non F1 cars releasing later in the year I believe. This range should all be based on the 2024 season as there is no way the teams would give 2025 information (about the cars) to anyone. My main Lego themes are superhero based but definitely will be picking up all of these. Though it’s a shame that it’s not even a year on and the Aston Martin set is already being replaced aha

I'm interested about the Mclaren one, since we already have it, are these actually confirmed to be Speed Champions, or could they have their own category?
Too expensive for me. The 2024 season of Speed Champions has jumped to 34.99 CAD from 29.99 for 2023 and it looks like 2025 cars will be 40.99 or more!!! I see a pattern and I don't like it. I'll be getting the Carlos Sainz Ferrari, the Logan Sargeant Williams, Fernando Alonso Aston, Alain Prost McLaren, Zhou Guanyu Sauber, Alpine, Daniel Ricciardo RB, Nico Hulkenberg Haas, George Russell Mercedes, and, of course, the Max VerStompinOnTheGas Reb Bull! After that, I'll only need a Michael Schumacher Benetton and Sebastian Vettel Minardi, uh, Scuderia Toro Rosso to complete my set! Yea im def sitting this one out too really not a fan of F1 they usually all look the same but diff colors will most likely wait for a sale hopefully the second wave is modern cars
Agreed. I can understand that there are lots of f1 fans and releasing all cars in one wave is an interesting idea but the builds of f1 cars are just so BORİNG. Its all the same build with different colors and of course the worst part is the stickers!!
@@Eben-p7u Supposedly the Kick Sauber is the C44 which is the 2024 season car. Based on this I would assume this means that the other teams should also be the 2024 season cars. I could be wrong but I guess we shall soon find out.
