@@Raadpensionaris The Dutch sent some troops, but did not actively do much.Because of this sources are rather hard to find online. I think your best bet would be a book on maritime (colonial?) Dutch history during this period.
I did find a non academic Dutch article online "Ter bescherming der Nederlandse belangen, Nederlandse Mariniers in China, 1900-1920" (starting from page 9, Nederlandse mariniers in Chinese wateren).
A short but interesting read, even if the Dutch never saw any action in China.

Small correction/clarification: the Qing court officially declared war on all nations that had a legation in Beijing: the eight nations and Belgium, Spain and the Netherlands.
Belgium and the Netherlands did not join the alliance in order to maintain their neutrality, although the Netherlands did send some ships.
So technically you should have said it was an alliance of eight great powers (and also the Netherlands) that got involved.

Shooting Archduke Francis was more like throwing a match on gunpowder barrel. There were many other more important reasons, e.c. independence movements becoming more popular, fading power of colonial empires, prestige and many other complicated issues. Gawrilo Princip was not a reason, but an excuse to create the bloodiest war in history at the time.

You have been cranking these out like once a week and it really cheers me up. Thank you so much. Keep up the good work, unless you need a break in which case fuck it, take a mental health day, and take a second one for me because I can't.

So to "Oversimplify" Boxer Rebellion is named Boxer because Western though that Kung Fu is another form of Boxing, which is no but technically yes.
Boxer Rebellion happen because Citizens of Qing see the dynasty as weak and want to reduce foreign influence in China.
3 main reason why many Great Power obliterated the Boxer rebellion.
    1) they didn't want their citizens living in china st the time die.
    2) Prestige like global recognition.
    3) Trade, they didn't want to lose their massive cash cow and their Opium trade.
And lastly they want to flex their military might to each other.
