They released a v2 that supports having a case on your phone and comes with the update for iPhone usage right out of the box. Recommend returning and getting newer version
@@hanleyleung On the front of the box, on the bottom left, the v2 will say Made for iPhone, Works with Android, USB-C. And then the game tiles on the phone on the front have changed. The game on the far left is Call of Duty Warzone Mobile. And then if you look on the bottom of the box, on the left side and above the barcode sticker, it says Backbone One - PlayStation Edition (2nd generation)
yeah I didn' know about it when I bough tit. going to try and sell this one and get a 2 gen one soon. Also order a similar controller from a different brand I'm going to show you all soon!
It doesnt work with ipad mini. To save it from breaking you should put top end in first then stretch out the end with usbc to connect so it wont bend. Combat masters is also a dope game on it. Down to play sometime!
I have a ROG 6 Pro. its 173mm in hight. will it fit into the slot gen 1 or 2? (assuming it doesn't matter its an android or apple since now its type c) I don't mind it being off centre since the type c in Rog is at the side. My current kishi V2 fits leaving about a millimetre or less of space when fully stretched. But its not forced.
hmm no idea. let me go to the store later and see if I can sneak in a test fit haha. dope phone you have. how do you like it? how is the heat management? my iPhone 15 pro max will screen dim after 20-30 minutes of high end gaming. Have to do some testing to see if a fan can prevent that
@@hanleyleung Hi, it would be great if you could assist in testing the ROG on a Backbone 1 and 2. I believe it barely fits - by a whisker, within Gen 2, unsure about Gen 1. According to a redditer, Gen 2 might extend slightly more, but only by a fraction. Someone managed to fit their Rog 5s, which is 172.8 mm, in gen 1. This is based on Reddit research. With any ROG phone using these controllers, the phone tends to protrude half an inch up top due to the USB being off-center. But it works flawlessly on my kishi V2, in fact i prefer it. The ROG 6 Pro is excellent for regular phone games but gets toasty after an hour with COD, Genshin Impact, and other high-end games. It gets really hot within 15 minutes of using Yuzu for switch emulation. The phone's weight may cause hand fatigue during extended gaming. It's delicate; iPhone screens crack after a fall or so i've heard, but the ROG phone's screen is notably expensive to repair. Thank you for replying. I am planning to get it for myself for my birthday, which is a week away. The Backbone one is not officially available here but a few stores keep it an sell it. at a premium, so I have to be sure it fits before I buy it; otherwise, it's useless for me. Especially since I have to pay more - its original price is about 8000-9000 rs, but they sell it here for 15,000 that nearly double of the orignal price.
What’s the update process like on android ? .. I got my for my iPhone and it didn’t work .. and when I 😊plugged it in to my friend’s android it work for him .. but I didn’t see anything on how to update it …
I plugged it in had to go open and run their backbone app and waited a few minutes and I think it just did it. I don’t remember the UI. I don’t believe I had to manually trigger the firmware update but maybe
the website says some older shipments need a firmware update to work and you'll need android to update the firmware. I got mine from Hong Kong from a supplier so probably was an older batch. did you order directly from them? There's also talks of a V2 edition that's stealth out there that is slightly different and can work well with cases. let me know how it goes!
yeah I'll capture direct audio next time and not do any extra music over the games. what do you mean by way to navigate your phone? thanks for watching!
just plug it in? I remember you have to get past the opening and itutorial stuff before it starts working or something. I'll try to make a short for it later. are you playing with a fresh account or existing @@illsolo5996

I saw! do you know how you can tell if it's a V2 version or how to ensure you get one? their website has no mention of the v2

My main concern will there any input delay to play like apex or any other fps gaming? And is the thumbstick smaller than the actual controller?
Input lag seems fine to me. The sticks are a bit small and hard to be precise with compared to a ps5 controller

Nice music video. Wish i could hear what you’re saying 😂
haha sorry about that. turn the bass down and you should be good. I lower the melody and instruments when I talk but like to keep the beats :)
