The Parthenon was blown to pieces during the war with the Italians and the ottomans. The ottomans had stored ammunition in the Parthenon and the Italians blew it up. There has been a great improvement to the whole hill of acropolis through the years. The process is slow, but these are ancient marbles and they are trying to make them as close to the originals as possible. Both material and structure wise. It’s not something that they just want to build up. It’s something that should be well taken care of. And don’t forget Greece is struggling economically too
Yeah unfortunately you will not find many fast food places or markets like 7/11 or CVS in Greece. All our small convenience stores are for chips and cookies. Not sandwiches or other stuff. For “fast food” we have bakeries where you can buy small savory pitas etc. For sunscreen you can only find them to pharmacies or supermarkets.

We don’t have something equivalent to 711 or cvs that sale pretty much everything (and this is something that I miss so much) For fast food like sandwiches toasts etc we have something called “Everest”.“Gregory’s” also sells “fast food” kinda stuff. And our fast food is mainly suvlaki 🤣

@@universome511 oh no! They share their purpose too. These are the places that we just get smoke, chips etc. We don’t have designated stores for smoke etc. so these are ours. If we want “fast” food we go to bakeries or small cantinas. And for medical stuff we just go to the pharmacy. It’s just probably that you didn’t know how to navigate and look for certain stuff. But you know we do things differently in every country.
