Ruby being a budget build went out the window quite some time ago, although it's still not completely outrageous for a car that reliably makes 1000+ horsepower and runs 8s. Doesn't hurt that they're using a motor they already have, either.
There's nothing "budget" about the transmission either.
Look at Fontaine flatbed. Semi trailer taillights. There only 1 inch tall and LED.

Guys, you all have been working so hard and nonstop to keep putting good content out and have just done a fantastic job. The last few videos, that you have put out were after a few day gap after LS fest. It is quite visible that something isn't quite right, I don't know if it is internal issues or if you all are just burnt out, you all seem to have lost your mojo. Maybe you should have one of each of you take over the video responsibilities for a week or two, while the other two take a vacation away from the shop and the channel completely. It might help clear your minds and help you each get newly inspired. Love the channel and truly enjoyed watching things progress and seeing your success, I think for many of your viewers like me, we kind of live life vicariously through you guys. I know with your schedule's that you see the suggestion of taking some time off and away from the channel and laugh , like that's not even possible but if your waiting for your schedule to cooperate , then it will never happen, so you just have to do it schedules be damned. Looking forward to seeing Ruby with the 427 in it and more Toast, more Toast, more Toast! Good luck in all you do, but take a step back and look, you all are a bit lackluster and seem to have lost your what appeared to be endless enthusiasm. Cooper always comes across that way but that's just the way he is.

They had a coyote engine for it at first. But the gt500 engine offer came up and they took it. Sold the coyote engine.
