Your channel is one of my favorites because you are so relatable. I get anxiety too when I'm decluttering, especially the small stuff that doesn't necessarily take up much space but takes so much time to go through. Thank you for the inspiration, I think I'm going to do some decluttering today after watching your video! P.S. I love your t-shirt "Nervous for no reason" hahaha I need one of those!
First I love your shirt! Lol thank you for making this video! Decluttering and organizing videos are def my favorites to watch probably because I’m so nosy lol it looks really great when you’re finished!
I can tell you’re such a sweet heart because you feel sorry for letting go special momentum 💕 I’m glad you continue doing this for yourself 🫶🏼 hope it becomes easier for the 2025
I am only eight minutes into the video, but I feel compelled to tell you to keep the personalized bridesmaids box and use it to store things in. The one that says Mackenzie in gold. It’s super cute! 😻😻😻
When you buy something new from whatever section I your house make sure one comes in one goes out it would of been so hard for you I’m so proud of your progress well done sweetheat❤
you go girl! :) thank you for sharing this, I'm a sucker for a declutter video, and this one is soo good - just the perfect combo of chattiness and decluttering. chef's kiss :)
Just an idea to free up a bin is to move your travel packing cubes and other bits into your luggage that way it is all together and takes up less space. :)
I’m soooooo jealous of your closet configuration! On one side, hanging pole with wood shelf above and space below.(or high/low poles if needed) Then the other side containing wood shelves to the ceiling!🙌🏻👍👏👌
Awesome work! Those kinds of areas are so daunting so you did amazingly well! And you know where everything is and if you do another pass in future you can declutter more. I find it’s always good to just know what you have (it’s amazing what I find when I clean) enjoy the new closet!
I think that a good idea was that all traveling stuff you could storage them inside a travelling suitcase, big bag. like that you will see all you have when packing for traveling
Great job! Love your Disney ears holders. Perfect way to store and display them. I need to sort my tote bags and declutter some. I have way more than I'll ever use. Thanks for inspiring me! 😊
Bravo! What a lot of work. A couple of observations, after watching other decluttering channels: scrapbooking = danger! danger! Yet another source of hard-to-control cluttery bits; and then t-shirt quilts = so many people keep all the t-shirts and say they might make a quilt. It will not happen. Sorry!
also, as an old person, I have to say that we just can’t “keep” all our memories as actual items. And that’s ok - those experiences changed us, even if we don’t have things to prompt reminiscences.
I think it's wonderful that you have continued to clean out your closet and other areas of your home! It's clear to me as a fellow music lover that your concert merchandise and memories for scrapbooking and T. shirt quilts, etc Are important to you And I find it somewhat upsetting that others in the comments are telling you that that's not an item you should feel compelled to keep. For those of us that have these concerts as a huge part of our lives, It's extremely important to hold on to things like that. I use my canvas totes from shows as shopping bags or bags to carry to the farmers market. I am seeing Niall twice this summer And you better believe that some merch will be coming home with me. 😂
Thanks for this comment :) I try to ignore those comments.. i know what is important to me and what I want to keep. I think they expect me to be a minimalist but that is definitely not the goal! Hope you enjoy seeing Niall this summer :)
Use one next to your chair if you knit or crochet, put mail and paper in one and then sort on Sunday, put small blankets in the living room, put one on your main doorknob for outgoing errands,(library books, dry cleaning, etc.) Above all,USE AND ENJOY!🙌🏻
Thank you for being real, I can relate to the anxiety when clearing. But...I did pause for 10 mins to clear out a drawer in my desk & it felt so good to see less stuff taking up space 😊
So I went backwards lol watched your second part where you donated 50 items and it totally encouraged me to go do 20. I was being nice to myself 😂.... But honestly was hard. But I've been working on getting rid of clothes for years so I definitely have made big strides. Hoodies and jeans are my kryptonite. Got rid of three jeans and a hoodie though this time. Anyways thought I'd let you know it encouraged me to fill a full garage bag to donate. Went above my goal even though it was tougher then I thought it would be
Your such an inspiration to me friend. I’m trying to get motivated to clean as I sit on my floor and watch you and happy to say I am cleaning now so you were successful! 😂
Beautiful kitties and amazing progress over the last few videos. I agree with another person’s comment, keep the personalised bridesmaids boxes (if it’s not too late!) and maybe use them for mementos you are going to scrapbook? Also you mention you don’t wear your dresses much, how about hanging them so they are pressed and ready to go when you need them? Might encourage you to wear them more.. ? 😊👗👏🏼
Hi! I would start with visioning how I want my closet to look like, how do I want to feel when I open it and what do I really want to keep ans store in it. Then I find it much easier to declutter items that no longer have a place in my life 😄. Thing that I want to keep but don´t use or need to have easy axess to I would try to minimize and store somewhere else or in nice boxes on the topshelf. The most used items I would store at eye level. I would also consider to keep the floor as empty as possible. This is for two reasons. 1. because it feels nicer to me and it´s easier to keep clean and 2. If I just temporary need to store something like a big trunk, a bin for seasonal decor aso I have a nice place to store that without shurning stuff. Instead of tinking of starting on more bin/box for travel, pack the one you have tighter. Start with taking all the packing cubes and fold them and put all of them inside the smallest instead of the largest. Then let the box be the boundry, keep what can fit in it , choose well and get rid of the overflow. About the jewels... There is nooo guilt for not keeping stuff you don´t like, want or use. Your friends and family wants you to live a good happy life not be burden with clutter and unnecessary stuff. If you can sell the items you don´t want, buy an icecream 😋or flowers (examples, do something You love) with the money and think about how much you like the giver of the item while enjoying your flowers/icecream.
I love watching people decluttering and organizing. It's all I need to get started! I've been decluttering for some time and I'm somehow a minimalist, so I don't have that much. However, I just saw you and found stuff to fill up a trash bag 😂 Wonderful closet btw! Disregard nasty comments, just sad, jealous losers
Your voice is so relaxing. Some of these videos I watch I can't handle because they and their sentences with the question mark and they just drive me crazy with their squeaky voices, lol
You did such a great job on that closet, which by the way, i love how it is laid out. All of those shelves must be so nice to have. I hope this unsolicited advice isn't annoying. I wanted to suggest that you either start on the tshirt quilt, or lay out how you want it to look and take it to someone to sew. I've seen several videos of people who have that intention and it seems like it winds up being something they think about but that ultimately just sits in a box and doesn't get done.
New subscriber here! I'm so happy I found your channel cause I love this type of content and I love your personality! 🥰 This is a lot of stuff for just one person, but you did such a great job! I'm so proud of you for getting it through even though it's overwhelming. You have to start somewhere and you did! And you did so well! You have to keep going through your items over and over again, and over time it gets easier. It's a journey that has to take its time, it took you years to get all of this, so it has to take time to get rid of it too. 💪🫶♥️
Honestly, give it several years and the memento stuff like t shirts really don't seem to matter as much (imo). I originally kept stuff from travels etc but now I prefer just having the memories and more space ❤
Hi! I offer free mindfulness sessions for folks struggling to declutter. If you'd like, we can chat and see if we can't reduce your anxiety about the process.
Travel stuff in the suitcases...just a thought.❤😊
Good point! But I don’t always bring a suitcase with me so i’d like it to be more accessible!
I love how you show little clips of your cats throughout your videos!
hehe thank you!
Yes! And thank you for letting Nelson 😻 continue to sleep on the clothes instead of bothering him. You are a wonderful cat mom! 😻😻😻
I've got 4 cats , & a red nosed pit bull! She's such a a cat lover! 💗
Your channel is one of my favorites because you are so relatable. Simply Libby and Leaf Like on a Tree are other channels I like because they have real, lived in houses with kids
Very impressed you’ve managed to pare down and organize the closet…especially with your full life’s memories!
Thank you! 😊
Yay a new video! I love your videos because you're so relatable and authentic. And that you talk to your cats like I do, haha!
hahah thanks for watching :)

Yes I agree!
I would have kept them both and stored sentimental memories inside.😂🎉
When you buy something new from whatever section I your house make sure one comes in one goes out it would of been so hard for you I’m so proud of your progress well done sweetheat❤
you go girl! :) thank you for sharing this, I'm a sucker for a declutter video, and this one is soo good - just the perfect combo of chattiness and decluttering. chef's kiss :)
thank you so much :)
I love that cats will always come see what someone is doing and just get in the way 😄
always in the way 😂

no problem! best of luck 😁
Just a thought, the pink flowers could twine around your mirror!❤
Great idea!!

Agreed with the t shirts ❤
Edit: although I am 7 years older, it did take me a few decluttering passes to realise that stuff doesn't matter

Sometimes you just need breaks to keep it going lol. Maybe you could use the concert totes as grocery bags and you can see them more often
that’s a great idea!

You can make a throw pillow out of that canvas bag❤
great idea!

You got this!!!
Hi, 3 of us live in a 2BR apartment near Chicago. Every day, I toss, recycle, or give away at least 20 items. Just keep at it. Tina, Al's wife
Beautiful kitties and amazing progress over the last few videos.

yes i’ve been doing some research on the t shirt quilt.. i definitely want to get it done
Great job!
Thanks!
Well done 👍👏👏👏👏
Thank you! 😃
I’d put the bags in the suitcase
I would only keep 2 of the make up bags and get rid of the rest. No one needs that many little bags. Lol
I ageee with another person’s comments. Put your packing cubes in a suitcase.❤

In other words, having the “mems” 😹😹😹 (I love when she says that!) 😹😹😹
nice job. put your larger bags with your luggage.
Only keep what you will wear on a regular basis and let the rest go.
I thing you should do the Not bought challenge
I'm a clutter bug 😔 But - I'm trying to change 🙏
Goals!
Why don’t u put all ur packing cubes inside your suitcases they are then there when u pack ur bags
I thought about that but I don’t always bring a suitcase so they would be more easily accessible from the bin :)
