Your personality is what this world needs, I find your personality and your views extremely informed and I cherish your work, all over the world very much. Once again, the world needs people like you. Thank you Ms. Jebreal.
If you want to know who rules over you, just find out who you are not allowed to criticize. It is fairly obvious who rules the US media. Great work by Rula Jebreal.
Israel has done an excellent job in literally owning not only the US media but our politicians. If a politician even dared question Israel it would end their career.
Many of America's problems today are rooted in this one-sided unconditional support of Israel. The price has been very high. But self interest is really the motivation. How ironic. Makes no sense.
John Bryce What unique benefits exactly has Israel provided the U.S.? Be specific. If it wasn't for it, U.S. relations with the Arab would would be far better.
sickboy9031 "Lol. Analytical? She is hot as hell. True. But about as analytical as tomato." Agreed. I'd screw her like there's no tomorrow but I'd put a muzzle on her so I didn't have to hear any of her anti-Israeli ranting. LOL!
Well, I agree that what she said wasn't exactly controversial (about Israel/Palestine), but compared to what we normally see--goodness! The disgusting pro-Israel propaganda, the hollow rhetoric, the rationalization of child murder, the euphemisms of genocide and the clear policies of ethnic cleansing--she does seem quite sharp.
Avi Gindratt "The disgusting pro-Israel propaganda, the hollow rhetoric, the rationalization of child murder, the euphemisms of genocide and the clear policies of ethnic cleansing--she does seem quite sharp." That's a lot of bullshit! Hamas are the child murderers, not the Israelis. This woman is as sharp as a bowling ball.
I disagree with her on Israel. But I do believe in freedom of speech. MSNBC should be ashamed of themselves! How can you be to liberal for them! As a people we must be able to hear all sides of the story, not just the ones we agree with! Good luck to you,Rula Jebreal ! I believe you have a bright future!
She's absolutely correct The media's the most powerful entity on earth. They have the power to make the innocent guilty and to make the guilty innocent, and that's power. Because they control the minds of the masses. Malcolm X
So glad and happy we are given both sides of view and suffering. War, what is it good for? The only reason is insane power hungry people that claim to be human.
Most Americans are on the side of Israel righly so. But that is precisely the reason we need to hear from the Palistinian side, we need to empower the best of the Palistinian society to have their voice, they ARE NOT going to have it in their home country, all the more reason that we should not minimize their voice here in the land of the free, home of the brave, and the beacon of demoracy. We need to live up to the hopes and dreams of our founders forever still. Because Israel gets away with criminal acts on a regular basis, seizing Palistinian lands and denying them a peaceful assembly. Will we deny the tired masses or will we challenge ourselves to hear what is unpopular. Because sometimes freedom of speech, means giving the unpopular a forum on which to address there grievences.
If you're a journalist you should really know about the systematic factors that lead to media bias, and not be naive and be shocked. Mostly this is not "conspiracy" stuff or micromanagement, but subtle influences from ownership, commercial success through advertising, selection of personnel, research that is being "sponsored" and corrupted by the state department and think tank that gives "respected" stories for free and saves news stations real money, spreading fear. And of course direct pushback / flak in the worst case, but this is actually RARELY necessary because a small bias can tip the scales sufficiently. It's old stuff that got scientifically researched by e.g. noam chomsky in the 60s.
Imagine you know nothing about the Israel - palestinian conflict and you started listening to the jewish community for their opinion on it. You would quickly notice the huge schism running through the community. The largely secularist opinion and the conservative opinion. Yet that is not reflected in mainstream media because the conservative viewpoint is massively reported over the secularist. If you prefer a nuanced opinion you will not get it from the conservative point of view which tends to be absolutist. The secularist viewpoint accepts that the Israeli state has committed multiple crimes because the evidence is there. The Conservative side either denies or obfuscates or makes excuses. Only one side calles the other " none jews" or "self hating jews" which is childish. So if you consider yourself to prefer a nuanced opinion which side would you lean to
DemocracyNow what are you THINKING only having your videos up on UA-cam in 240p? You are bastardizing history, people will come to see these videos and think they were from the 90s! This video could go viral if it wasn't for the horrifically poor quality!
Yeah, right ! I'm sure an Islamic apologist like Rula Jebreal has American citizens best interest in mind when discussing U.S. foreign policy and how it should be administered in Gaza.
Love to see all the anti-Semitism coning out from a number of these commenters. Each network has a bias - but the access we have to more and more news channels and news sources allows us to hear and see all sides. Al Jazerra, Russia TV, Democracy Now are just some of the examples.........
octavius simplicitous No - I mean the comments about Judaism being a curse, comparing Israel to the Third Reich and much worse. As for the reporting - the USA media is filled with photos and videos of the destruction in Gaza. What bothers people is the US population supports Israel - what other state in that region has done all that Israel has done - perhaps they should just allow terrorists to use weapons to hit them? Syria, Libya, Egypt, Lebanon etc. show what happens if many of the people in that region are simply allowed to do as they please unchecked......
Exactly. Give us the old days when we just ignored millions of Israel's human rights violations and controlled media so people can't find out how bad Jews are. Damn the internet for exposing people to Russia TV who gives voices to the other side. They still and always will have Hollywood where they can insert pro Israel messages and play the victim. Hollywood won't die.
RavenRuled Exactly my point - the US public is seeing far more view points than in the past - and yet we still show overwhelming support for Israel. It is not an issue of biased coverage - it is a shared set of values and a recognition of the threats surrounding Israel and the unique evil that exists in the Middle East (as on display in Syria, Iraq, Libya, Egypt, Gaza, Iran, etc.
It is so funny to listen to people complain about not being able to get word out about their position, while getting their word out. What issues are not being raised? We have photos and videos of both sides. I hear debate on both sides. Perhaps the problem people have is we support Israel because we should do it. The easy thing would be to not support them, go for the popular side. Instead we stick with our democratic, peace loving allies.
She is full of hot air. All she talks about is the West Bank. This is about Israel-Gaza, not the West Bank. She seems to think it’s A-OK for Hamas to launch thousands of rockets into Israel. But when Israel retaliates, she gets indignant. A total disgrace.
I'm sorry Rula, we just don't like you, we think your minds are all fucked up. As humans we have preferences for people we like and people that are somewhat sane, muslims just don't fit the bill.
You are amazing Rula Jebreal. Thank you for defending Palestinians.

"We can spend 6 months on bridge gate but duck our heads when it comes to Gaza", or some words to that effect. Rula nailed MSNBC on that.
Rula Jebreal, you are amazing
Many of America's problems today are rooted in this one-sided unconditional support of Israel. The price has been very high. But self interest is really the motivation. How ironic. Makes no sense.
Just look at what US support for Israel did to the oil markets starting in late 1973.
Wrong!!! Israel is the single and the best ally in the ME! Think on that...
John Bryce What unique benefits exactly has Israel provided the U.S.? Be specific. If it wasn't for it, U.S. relations with the Arab would would be far better.
Go Rula! Even if the truth hurts we all need to hear it. NBC should be ashamed of themselves for being such puppets for a few bucks and limo rides.
Not only is this woman incredibly sharp and incredibly analytical about the Israeli Palestinian conflict, but she is so damn beautiful.
AGREED BIG TIME

What do you mean "the sole Palestinian voice" as if no one else speaks for the Palestinians?
Amy clearly said sole Palestinian voice "at the network", so yes, it's correct in this context.
