It's a shame they don't make the Qiaodan QingHong shoes in size 11 as I'd love to hear your review on them. I've got them myself and they blow my mind. Also have the 361 Flame 3 based on your earlier review. Love them. An excellent shoe as per your review. Have you tried the 361 Furious Future 1.5? Those shoes are awesome. Firmer than the Qiaodan Plaid but arguably more efficient. Thanks to your channel I've been interested in Chinese branded running shoes an in general have been pleasantly surprised by the performance, value and quality received. Keep up the great work and try to stay cool!
Just like you some of these Chinese brands actually surprised me. I am very interested in a lot of them now. I just got the Furios 2.0. Yet to check it out. Will likely order the Qiaodan 1.5 this month end, I am also considering some more budget options from 361, just to see how their lower priced options are.
Accordingly to 361, the change in the upper material is to cater to the upcoming winter in China, hence making it less porous and breathable. Runners in hot climate countries may consider the previous Flame 3.0 instead.
Saw your review of the Flame 3.0 so decided to buy this one as this was the latest iteration. Thank you for this review. I wanna hear your thoughts on Xtep 160x 5.0 Pro which is their race day shoe
Love the review as usual! Kassie Derseh Kindie placed top 10 during the Berlin Marathon, finishing with a time of 2:05:54 using 361 degrees furious 2.0. Will you review them?
Ive been checking thai vlogger but im just reading comments since youtube have translation. Thai vlogger said that flame 3.5 is better than furious 2 more bounce. He said that you really need to be strong runner to maximize the shoes(furious 2) potential. What i want for you to check also doc is the xtep 160x6.0 monxter that looks like mizuno wave rebellion pro 😊
Thanks. This is a carbon plated shoe. It's not a good option for everyday use, especially beginners. You need a non-plated shoe that allows better natural foot movement.
@@jmartin8350 V 13 is great. Consider Hoka Mach 6, Adidas adizero SL2, New balance Fuelcell rebel V3 or V4, all non-plated lightweight shoes your faster runs. And then you can consider this one, Flame 3.5 for real faster workouts.
Doesn't need much of a break-in. From box it's ready to go. But it's still better to run some distance in new shoes before a race, at least same as the race you want to run.
Awesome information.. i have been enjoying the Li-Ning feidien 4 challenger.. was thinking about th X atep but i think thes ones are definitely great . What top brand would be similar to them ?
hello doc new to your channel. I am looking for carbon plated for my half marathon, I am not a fast runner. Is this OK if I run total sub 3 half marathon? I am slow so I can do sub 3, half marathon. Thank you
I would suggest that you size up if going for these, especially if you go for a wide fitting in New Balance. These are a narrow fit and also quite short too. I wish that I had gone an additional size up. They will still make a great interval and shorter tempo session shoe but I struggled with the sizing on my only long run in them. My 2nd run in them was a 17.5 mile long run with some little sections at pace - I struggled on some of the downhills due to requiring the extra bit of wiggle room that an additional half size up would have given me 😊 Still keen on maybe purchasing another pair half a size up.

Makes sense, thanks. Still the 3.5 is overall a better performer.
I used it on my 2nd threshold run which is in the afternoon here in the philippine i have no problem with the shoes breathability.
@@kenvysmiguel8817 No problem at all, even here is Saudi.
Great review Doc! Thanks for focusing on lesser known brands. This gives your channel a unique feel. Keep up the good work!
Thank you very much
I am flying in this shoes when i first wear it for threshold session. The bounce and propulsion is great.
Totally. loving them myself.

hello how about the 361 furious 2.0...its their higher tier race day shoe...
Yeah. I'm eying that too. Hopefully soon.

I just tried my pair of Flame 3.5 and I love them! Just curious though, what do you think would be a great training companion for it?
How soft are these shoes in terms of a durometer test?
I don't do durometer test for now. But they are as soft as the adios pro 3.
Hi Doc! Would you recommend this shoes for a beginner? Great reviews btw, keep it up! Thank you for sharing your experience and insights!
Thanks.

Thank you Doc! Im currently using NewBalance 1080 v13 and was thinking to add another shoe for my rotation

How’s the 3.0 outsoles after 200km?btw great review!
Awesome. still fully intact.

Imagine adding carbon plate to the Hoka Mach 6

No

Yeah. They will also add to your pace.
My actual foot length is 25.2cm and my foot width is around 12cm (maybe 2e/3e), what size should I get? My New Balance 1080v13 is size 7.5 2E (Wide)
I suggest you buy your new balance size. Use US sizing to choose.

Is that good for lsd? What other big brand shoe versions can you compare its cushion with?
What's Lsd again? Longe slow distance?
@ yes
It's actually for faster paces. I don't think it will be very good for LSD. For long slow distance it's better to use well cushioned non-plated shoes.
