That swamp battle guard came out of no where
I think this makes battle city BETTER. Marik beats both joey and kaiba in the finals. It makes him look more capable as a threat, fighter and duelist.
Not exactly the longest game. I seem to recall getting this game on Christmas morning and having it beat by the Christmas party that night.
The sequel, Reshef of Destruction, was a significantly longer game, but only partially because of more plot. Most of the extra length came from an infuriating difficulty curve coupled with EXP rates *five times slower* than Sacred Cards. Thankfully I've only ever played it in ROM form, because if I had actually paid for it back in the day, I would have been disappointed.
