I’m so glad the Lord finally allowed me to find your music Jonny. My son and and I were going through a rough patch ( approximately six years ago ) and he was living four hours away from me in Atlanta. You remind me of him in your abilities, honors, natural music ability, Master’s Degree and intelligence. He made straight A’s through to his Master’s. He even had his own band ( my nickname for him was cool geek and he loved it ) and they were being signed by a label but he had strayed from his upbringing in the Lord and it fell through. He let society dictate to him what was right and wrong. The band fell apart ( secular music of the day that included the screaming etc. ) because they couldn’t agree and get along, in the long run. On his high school aptitude test, the suggestions for his life profession was priest, minister, youth pastor, anything to do with love and compassion towards his fellowman but in college he allowed his mind to become changed by what professors were discussing considering his belief in Christ. His first year of college, he wanted to go to Germany for an eight week class and we let him go, our only child, our son. He did well there and traveled to several countries, ( on his own, mind you ). I was frightened at times but our faith in the Lord gave us peace that he would return to us safe and sound. The Lord was faithful. I had home-schooled him for the first nine years of his education then allowed him back in junior high, this is when the change began and not a good change. A good son, still straight A’s and no “ troubles “ with police nor anything like that but his heart started to change about his belief in the Lord and this began the “ rough patch “. He is about a year older than you, married and has a good job but has let us know that we will not, more than likely, be grandparents. My heart is broken for he and his wife and for his father and I. The day I birthed him, I held him up before the Lord and dedicated him back to God as his to do with as He pleased. I’m still holding onto the hope that before I go to meet the Lord, my son ( who is also named Jonathan, the friend of David ) will come to have a close relationship with his Maker and allow God to finally guide and direct his steps. I’ve shared your video’s with him in hopes you can reach him, for you are much, much more than a singer. You are a minister for our Lord and Savior, Jesus The Christ. May God continue to bless you Jonny. ☺️🙏👑🙏♾
