these 2 videos were amazing showcases of ingenuity, ive already sunk 50 hours and did not think about using plant rope and teleporters, man, this is crazy
i hope you will continue to play after the update and update the saves :) i love exploring myself but im not patient to do basebuilding solo so i plan to play the content myself and then use your save when im completed to enjoy your bases :D
I most likely will reupload my save after Crush Depth. In the meantime, here is a slightly more updated version of my save from the one I had previously linked - drive.google.com/file/d/1eoWtf1s_Wq17qnqZYi_4WacGAnihg8n6/view?usp=drive_link - I fixed some issues with the rope vines near the big multi-story elevator by adjustment labs so you won't fall off of them once you reach the top. - Fixed the rope vine issues in the furniture store again so you won't fall off when you reach the top. -- Named all of the workbenches and teleporters appropriately so they won't get mixed up. - Added a decent bit more batteries to the battery bank - Added Coils, a Turret and a Workbench to the small room off of the cafeteria to deal with spawns in that area. - Added 4 X-ray Turrets near the vehicles on the Lobby side of the base - Rearranged a couple crops - Added Armor Stand with Maestro Armor in the bedroom after I finally got enough organs to make a full suit and last but not least my OCD had me - Straighten a few wires, center a light and rearrange/realign a few paintings lol
The teleport network is nice, but your base is absolutely incredible! By the way you can change the name of crafting bench in the top left corner in it's interface, then you pair the teleporter with the bench again and your teleport will be named the same as the crafting bench. Or you didn't rename it for a purpose?
@@danik9868 I'm glad you liked it. I simply didn't know about the workbench renaming trick when I was making the teleporters and after I learned about it I never went back and named them all. Just being lazy lol
you are so good at base building i have a question how do you get powered items to switch from power socket to batteries in the night without input from you? Like without levers and shuffling plugs
Ty Ty. The ENTIRE base and all of its defenses are powered off of a single outlet. Inefficient? Yep. But I don't mind that. I prefer the cleaner look of running 1 outlet with 1 massive battery bank. I know daisy chaining a large battery bank is wasteful because each battery counts as a device to be powered. However the materials to craft batteries are infinite when you factor in portal worlds. Therefor I was willing to put in the time to make more batteries than I needed to allow for a single large bank. My workbenches, refrigerators and stoves have separate batteries on them in the event the main battery bank ever depletes but they are still powered off of the same lines. With all of my defenses activated, the battery bank lasts through the night with plenty to spare. So to answer your question, it's all automatic. I have 1 wall plug going into a battery and then that battery going into the next battery and so on connecting all of those batteries you see on the shelves in the first video. Then the very last battery goes out into a 3 plug splitter and splits off powering everything in the base. Every turret, coil.. everything. MADNESS

You can rename Crafting Bench, then link teleporter and teleporter gets name of that crafting bench

I think you can now name your workbenches and see it in the teleporter name
