Peritoneal dialysis is a way to remove waste products from your blood when your kidneys can't adequately do the job any longer. This procedure filters the blood in a different way than hemodialysis.
A purifying liquid enters a portion of your abdomen through a catheter during peritoneal dialysis. Your peritoneum, which lines your belly, functions as a filter to take waste materials out of your blood. The fluid containing the filtered waste items flows out of your abdomen and is expelled after a predetermined amount of time.

catheter ki life 2-3 days ki hoti hai??? I thought once inserted you can continue CAPD for many years! Pleae enlighten us.

This video is about Acute PD done in ICU patients. Catheter life(Stiff) for acute PD is 2-3 days. You have a CAPD soft silicone catheter which is different.
