That plane looks like it was designed as a prop for some science fiction outer space movie. It always reminds me of the “Nostromo” spaceship in the movie, Alien.
@@teescottageguyproductions I can’t deny that it is a cool plane. It LOOKS WAY BEFORE its time though. Hard to believe this is from the early 60’s. The English Lighting is an unusual plane, ‘for a prop plane’ too. I think it’s the Lighting. I may be mistaken. I guess there are countless aircraft that "appear before their time" though. SR-71 Blackbird. Thank you for the cool video. Cheers from Tomball, TX.
My brother was ground crew on these propulsion. He told me they had a new test pad and when they ran the engines to full power it blew the concrete all over the runway and everyone shouting shut it down! Obviously the new test pad wasn’t up to scratch.

Why can it not fly? Airframe damage?
It’s not allowed to under the CAA and also they don’t want to as it’s now a Musuem piece
@teescottageguyproductions CAA rules? Like what? It would be a great airshow piece. If they dan fly a B-29, they should be able to fly it.
