Thanks ☺️ I usually try to find a good balance in having fun, eating a lot and not burning too much energy, oh yes and annoying the hell out of Cindy as much as possible 👌🤪
Nice video buddy! Looking forward to the race-video. (I'm the guy from tiefbrunnau-station). I've been drinking half a liter of beetjuice every day a week prior to the race, including one bottle in the morning before the race.
half a liter of beetjuice, oh wauw 😅 I discovered it a couple of months ago, beet juice and also magnesium shots really changed my preparation and recovery process. noticed it especially in my consecutive marathons that i did in May.
Oddly, i drink coffee everyday and caffeine doesn't work really well for me, but guarana works amazingly! Despite beeing the slower and less intense caffeine variant, it works 10x better for me.
During a normal day i usually drink about 5 to 6 double coffees to get me through my 16 hours fast, on top of that i usually take a pre workout on longer runs and especially during races then i take caffeine gels, shots, ... I'm a caffeine junkie 😅 But my body tolerates it well and it improves my performance, never payed attention to the source of my caffeine like you mention guarana, will check it out to see what the difference could be 😉
@@gofora_run Wow, that's a lot! I drink 3 double coffes per day, but i used to drink more, so i definetely have some caffeine tolerance. Try it, it might work well for you!
How did you find the saucony xodus 3 with the rain and mud? I'm about to run a 50 mile ultra in December in the UK in the Southdowns which will be muddy and wet or should I buy the saucony peregrine 14 gtx running shoes? Also what running poles did you use please as I'm looking to order the correct pair as the elevation gain will be quite high. Thank you
Great vid Siggy, fun to see what people do to prepare for game day!
Thanks ☺️

@@gofora_run Awesome ! I notice it too. It's as if i had done more base-training than i actually did. Breathing is easier at the same pace.
